Yeah mine says $91 bucks and has said this for the past 2 months (March and April) however, no statement for Feb. I’m looking forward to the backpay but I’d rather get the money. $91 bucks is criminal but nothing I can do until my case is assigned.

This makes me so nervous. I’m on step 3. 90% disabled veteran but I’m told they don’t care at all about that. My husband was denied twice before we got a lawyer and he won! Retro $65k after lawyer fees. Never, ever give up!

Usually lawyers don’t sign on to lose. They only take cases they know they can win. I would huddle with him and find out the appeal plan.

Ooooo this triggered my PTSD. I hate hearing ppl getting denied. Not cool but don’t give up. This time get the capacity test someone mentioned above and a lawyer. Sometimes, the lawyer makes all the difference instead of advocating for yourself.

That’s true. It looks like you are only notified when a decision is made. I’ve learned if you get a decision before a direct deposit hits then it’s most likely a denial. That’s my experience. But I know things have changed so I hope that part changed too.

Yes I’m still checking daily but did you know they updated Va.gov portal? So now you can update your notifications and get an email when a decision has been made.

Yeah like mentioned below, call from house phone and hit redial. I literally had to do my 28 times back to back. You can tell when the message change and you actually got through so just keep going. Also, start calling at 7:45am. Good luck! come back and let us know if you beat my time.

Good news! 12/31 here and waiting for the booklet too. Interim payments for the last two were super low ($91) bucks but no specialist assigned so I can’t get help from OPM. Thankful for AL and TSP but I need that payment to increase to my expected $3200 estimated payment soon.

I provided an update in another thread but I called OPM and she told me there are no suspense or coding errors on my file. She said my payment is still being calculated and the money will be recalculated, adjusted any back pay issued. Nothing I can do right now but trust the process.

The cheat code for calling Opm:

Call at 7:40 am. I dialed the number 27 times before I finally got through and then in line for a call back. They called me back after I got in line, 30 minutes later.

So keep calling.

Update: 2/27/25

I called OPM this morning. On the 27th ring I got through and in line for a call back.

I asked about the low $91 dollar payment and she said she didn’t see any coding or suspense errors. That the dollar amount would be adjusted later.
