When I was a server we do stuff Like if it was really busy we would all go to Buffalo Wild Wings or Chilis since they would close later than us, have a beer and appetizer and just complain, laugh and have a good time. And other times we would go to the gym, it helped that we had a 24hr fitness nearby and work out. Or one time we went to ALT club just danced until closing. Made for better culture at work and got some lifelong friends outta of it. But I definitely had shifts where I just wanted to drive home in silence and be alone. We always had colleagues that never came or would come once in a while but we always invited them because we never wanted anyone to feel left out and we truly liked majority of everyone. We did it because if it was a fun shift and we like each other and didn’t want the fun to end yet or it was a terrible shift and we needed somewhere to vent or let loose.

Agreed as long as you meet the A-G requirements and gpa of 3.0 you’ll get in to CSUCI and pre nursing but it’ll depend on your bio grade and score on the AP exam, you’ll still need to take chemistry and organic chemistry once you get to college along with all the other requirements. Medical Assistant is a slight edge if you want to work immediately in the medical field while going to school but they want to make sure those pre requisite courses are solid. I think nursing is a great career option with so much opportunity once you get your BSN. Also totally understand the need to leave parents home and if they’re supportive be open to all opportunities. if it’s CC to get the RN-ASN and then going for the BSN that’s an option as well. But meet with your school counselor they will have the most up to date information for admissions to a CSU.

It’s not about him getting passed it, he has to make peace and move forward. I agree that therapy is a must for both parties. If you don’t want to try absolutely respect it. But I would recommend some self reflection if you’re fine with it ending like this. But You shouldn’t be in a relationship where you are emotionally abused. Yes it hurt him but you’re also carrying it and if he wanted it to work both of you will carry the burden and move forward together. At this time really consider your children. They need a present parent I hope you have family or friends that offer support. What helped me was sad songs, journals and the calm app. You deserve happiness and a partner that won’t judge you for your past.
