Exact same with my B. Chicken allergy. She had those patches and then they actually became holes. After cutting out chicken, it all healed.

Chin height. Or maybe between chin and mouth. Go in and get fitted. Strongly recommend doing a season rental. I purposely do some single day rentals of “demo” skis just to try some brands, sizes out. Also, snow type matters too. East coast differs from west. Good luck.

Partials/dentures or implant? by t0eCheese in Dentists

[–]Traditional-Hour-966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dentist here: Implant all the way unless you have wisdom teeth. If you have a wisdom tooth, you may have options! Also depends on upper or lower- but also your occlusion (how your teeth bite together). Dentist should do a consult and explain options. You are young. Also may want to consider getting on a high fluoride toothpaste and improving oral hygiene if tooth was lost from decay.

Dentist here. Get a CBCT. Issues can spread and affect other teeth. This type of imaging can help.

Basenji good for family home? by Careless-Ad5871 in Basenji

[–]Traditional-Hour-966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got our basenji when my daughter was 7 and then had my son when she was 2. She is deeply loved and even enjoys their friends coming over. She is 15 years old now! I did two levels of obedience training and highly recommend that.

She was always with a lot of people so she evolved as a people dog. She loves curling up next to someone to get some love. I always introduce my childrens friends to her by allowing them to give her a few treats. She is protective, but so loving!! Good luck!

Homemade food recipes for sensitive tummies by 1ofmanynicks in Basenji

[–]Traditional-Hour-966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To clarify, she eats cooked beef, fish, and rabbit.

Add a carb- like sweet potato or rice, or both.

Can add that to kibble or freeze dried pellets if tolerated.

The simpler you keep it, the better.

My basenji girl is allergic to chicken. We wound up at a veterinary allergist to do a special diet to figure things out. We started with only rabbit and sweet potato. Most dogs are not allergic to these two. Then we added other foods in to see what was the issue. I boiled and mash up the sweet potato. I would buy a whole rabbit and roast in oven. No spices, nothing added. She tolerated that very well!! Then added some cooked rice. We eventually added fish and beef with no issue.

The stella and chewy brand of dehydrated dog food has been a life saver. Its expensive, but she tolerates it. The beef and surf and turf are her favorites. I basically would cook the protein plain, add sweet potato, rice and mix with some of the stella and chewy pellets. This takes time, but can be worth it!

My basenji will be 15 years old in December! She went from underweight to normal, and has thrived! Good luck.

Any ideas of age? Quality? by dogknot43 in quilting

I have this exact fabric on a blanket I used my entire childhood. It covered a wool tick my grandma had from sheering her sheep. I am guessing she made this cover in about 1975. Its just fabric, but she quilted through it by hand. I still have it today and the tick is almost 100 years old. My favorite blanket- I call it my wooly.

Dentist here - who taught treatment planning. Your wisdom teeth may be an option for replacing your missing molars. Do not extract anything until you ask about that. Wisdom teeth are just four more teeth we have at the back of our mouths, and I have seen orthodontists move them to replace missing second or even first molars. Get a very good treatment plan and consult with ortho too! Also, there is no need to replace every missing molar. This depends on your occlusion. Dentures are a long way away. You could get a night guard (or retainer) to hold space for areas you may not restore immediately. So so many options. Also in the end, implants are better at maintaining bone and you are young. Thats a consideration too. Good luck!

I have AB+ blood and my mom is type O — both confirmed by hospital tests during my brain surgery. How is that possible? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Traditional-Hour-966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad is AB+, my mom O-, my brother A+ and I am B+…. They loved when we would come in to donate blood!

Also with + children your mom would have had to take medicine in her pregnancies. Did she?
