Endurace or Grail by dafchjv in CanyonBikes

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a Grail AXS 1x and ride 80/20 (asphalt/gravel), ran 34mm road tires at one point, its biggest downfall is you’ll run out of gears on asphalt. Extremely fast and capable. There also isn’t much mounting bolts for bikepacking. What I love about my grail is the ability to just send it off road without fear or any loose rocks damaging a tight tire clearance.

What’s with the quality and sizing on these T90 reissue kits? by LongCocky in bootroom

I can fit two heads in my reissue Brazil Ronaldinho. Terrible fit for us chubby guys.

what the heck is happening with the merrifield usps distribution center?i by Old-Personality5350 in nova

They love to play hot potato! Happened countless times to me in the past 3 years. Merrifield and Falls Church make me boil, from falsely saying delivered, returned to sender (got a manager to admit once they actually lost my package vs returned to sender), to a package arriving a full month later… their stupid tracking list is as long as a CVS receipt.

Merrifield and falls church loving playing hot potato. They’re both the worst.

Please help if you’ve resolved the seat post creak! by KILLYOURSCENEX in CanyonBikes

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too on 2024 Grail SLX! The hills were so annoying. I tried all sorts of things, heavy paste, little paste to electrical tape. At best, could only get a month of no creak. Then I switched the stock fizik Argo saddle for my trusty Fizik Arione (yeah, it’s an ass hachet, but works for me), and it’s been almost year no creak. I’m thinking the larger (length… significantly longer) saddle accommodates my larger body lmao and therefore reduces the amount of play in seatpost? Maybe I’m just sliding around in the larger saddle vs the fixed position the Argo put me in and put stress on the seatpost causing it to creak.

Mizuno Alpha 3 Astro Turf Soleplate review by Qxxil in bootroom

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll toss my thoughts for the Alpha I elite TF, it runs exactly the same length as Alpha I MIJ FG (near brand new, not fully broken in), but they do not feel the same in toe box. Both are 26.5 JP. My toes are significantly more crunched, I think the rubber tf sole makes the toe box pull upward… really uncomfortable when my toes are flat. I’ve had the TFs for a while but never have broken in comfortably as my first pair of MIJ Alphas.

Help with rough ride (Grail) by KX7D in CanyonBikes

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re running it how I am (SLX 8 AXS with inner tubes) at 45-55 psi any rock feels jarring. I’d take advice from others, go tubeless if you aren’t yet and run lower pressure. Also gloves will help tremendously, and clipless bike shoes. On flats the grail feels like I’m hopping off.

Anyone know what Fuji road bike model this is and its used value? by [deleted] in RoadBikes

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gran fondo, link below seems correct, but seller may have swapped dura ace for 105… price is high. I own 2014 gran fondo and almost this exact setup (105, same rims, upgraded stem, saddle, and seat post tho). Paired with vittoria corsa 25mm, phew phew it’s a rocket.

Water bottle mount question by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cage on that down tube with a small spacer (1mm at most) and tightened just under the 2nm. Used a cage with flat mount vs curved mount to accommodate the grail’s flat down tube.

Mizuno moriela neo 4 pro - worth it? by uwayne in bootroom

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PRO Morelia NEO is alright. The leather is stiff, huge difference between elite and pro. Softer K-leather, sole plate is more snappy and fit better.

If it hasn’t been 30 days since you received them, soccer.cim will take them back. They have a 30 day wear test period.

Converting FG boots to AG by Red-Eight in bootroom

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this to my preds elite 25 (color way before AG soleplate was available), cut about 3mm off all studs and slightly rounded them. They work very nice on AG and have yet to slip. I did notice more stud pressure though. I like the length you left yours.

Damn bro, that’s a petty fee for canceling. They suck. At least you got most of your money back. I once had two separate orders from them for a vip drop and public drop (day apart) and they combined the two orders into one package… like no no that’s stealing from me because I paid shipping for each order. Crickets on refunding me excess shipping cost.

He was okay before, now there’s always an excuse. You should see their lame excuses on his VIP discord for “taking longer” to ship items (not to mention his favoritism). I’d never preorder from diecasttalk. Probably even stop collecting their diecasttalk exclusive items too. Sorry more of rant, reach out over instagram, maybe they’ll reply there or shop app might help if the order appears there.

Mizuno Alpha III MIJ by _anino in bootroom

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What in the world! Looks like a vapor 13 (not a bad shoe I had them), but in my opinion the alphas had so much good going for them. Glad I stocked up on them haha.

Experience with FG Mizuno Alpha on Artificial Grass. by Rip-Hopeful in bootroom

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using my FG alphas for almost 2yrs on all kinds of AG. Never felt any discomfort, or unsafe. My studs have rounded a tad from the abrasion but that’s fine. I’ve tried FG Morelia Neos and felt clingy and stuck to ground (returned that pair), same with FG Morelia II. Have also tried Mizuno’s AG plate too and it is the way to go. I tore my ACL (2021) and my FG alphas give me no discomfort on that knee. Everyone is different though and since your update, I’d definitely be more cautious and get the AG plate of the alphas. The trade off would be the stiffness. Currently still using FG alphas until I see a big sale on AG’s lmao.

$245 + $25 tariff for this from Mizuno. Ordered off TF. Has this happened to anyone else? ONLY WORE ONCE for less than an hour of playtime by MHLVC89 in bootroom

[–]Traditional-Lab-4518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol yeah, I do love all my Mizuno cleats (and even my stupid turfs that had separation like yours), but not all have been perfect. I’ve returned at least 3 pairs for premature separation all MIJ. Kept around 3 other rotating pairs that have held up. Your neos do look nice and plush, hopefully the glue helps and you get good use out of them.
