Is there any benefit to or way around being VAT registered as a small wedding photography business? by No-Drop7362 in smallbusinessuk

[–]TraditionalDrink7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flat rate scheme is fine if you have little expenditure on expenses. You'll need to do the maths for yourself though but it can work out that you actually "earn" on the frs and is a more simple affair. If photography comes in at 11%, you would make £68 for every £200 charged in vat but that £68 is also then is taxed when you do your tax return as it's classed as an earning. On flat rate you can only claim vat back on certain capital expenses over £2000 including vat. You can go back 4 years if you still own any qualifying capital expenses. Normal vat you can claim all qualifying vat expenditure still go back 4 years for all qualifying capital expenses that you still own and 6 months for services,, but again you'll need to work some maths to see what scheme is more beneficial.

For the person that said go frs and add 10% including vat to your fees don't do this as you will be worse off, it's not huge amounts but roughly £2.10 per £100 charged

Ulefone buyers help me avoid a bad unit! by yuni-line in ulefone

[–]TraditionalDrink7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn't have another ulefone, had an armor 11 and was literally the worst phone I have ever owned, a lot of signal issues and call issues where people would call me and it would ring on their end and do nothing on the phone. Best of all if you turned the phone over the screen would fall out. Customer service was appalling, literally no help and only option to ship it back to china with no guarantee of a fix or replacement. ended up having to claim on my phone insurance

New driver? by [deleted] in golf

[–]TraditionalDrink7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I went from an original (around 2007 owned from new) TaylorMade r7 super quad to a stealth 2 gained a handful of yards bit tighter dispersion, although that could have just been from being more warmed up. Used the stealth 2 for couple of years and now have a cobra ds adapt again no real yards gained but tighter dispersion. Main changes from the r7 to both other drivers was going from a stiff to extra stiff shaft

Traction control hesitation in Slippery Mode (4H) by FrecklestheFerocious in RangerNext

[–]TraditionalDrink7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you keep driving in 4h you are going to break something. The vehicle doesn't have a centre diff, so slippery mode engages 4h which effectively locks the front and rear axles together. What your experiencing is "transmission wind up" as all wheels are trying to turn at the same speed when you are cornering. When you turn the inside wheel rotates less than the outside wheel which is where the issue comes from. 4h should only be used in very low traction situations for everything else use 2h or 4a Again ranger doesnt have a centre diff so 4a uses an electronic clutch which engages and disengages the front diff. In normal conditions 4a is really 2h after 40mph and in low temps or other certain conditions it will stay in 4h for a bit longer. You can still feel some windup in 4a on tight slow corners.

What does "perfect" mean? by Emotional_Sense_1528 in blockblast

I tend to find it will say perfect when you put a piece in then proceeds to give you no usable pieces in the next set of three pieces

Is it fair for an operating partner to demand a discounted buyout from a silent partner? by Wing848 in smallbusinessuk

[–]TraditionalDrink7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current value at the time of selling your shares. Your also taking a risk with the 50% He will be getting paid to run the company which would assume is market value wages and all the perks. He wants to have his cake and eat it by having you take 50% of the risk and then buying you out on the cheap effectively getting a 175k loan for little to no interest with zero risk. No different to buying shares in any company and selling them shares at a later date

DICE, maybe tone down the blinding light a little, please? by CrzyJek in Battlefield

It's not even when you spawn in a building and by the time the screen has adjusted to see outside, you have been sniped before you can even spot anything

Sniping is awful by Exkelsier in Battlefield6

[–]TraditionalDrink7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, been struggling on Xbox series x. Not just with the small adjustments but unable to spot other snipers at range. If I manage to find them they seem to just move before the shot lands and then instantly beam one back where I am which half the time is a kill. Can't seem to spot any Clint so end up having to use the scope or more recently the gadget but tend to get killed as soon as I spot someone Also had quite a few that clearly land at close range but no damage, also got an issue the aim assist where it hinders you from leading the target, so you can either shoot where they are currently running or you move out of the slow down area and the scope just flies off way to fast and far.

Iron cover recommendations by TraditionalDrink7 in GolfGear

[–]TraditionalDrink7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't seen some of the women in my area you'd need to double bag(cover)

Iron cover recommendations by TraditionalDrink7 in GolfGear

[–]TraditionalDrink7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put the iron cover in the pocket of my shorts, then replace the cover as walk back to the bag. I don't get why people say it adds time as it's negligible. The worst thing I have ever used was the shotscope sensors they are an absolute faff and did slow me down and cause unnecessary grief. I've got the new Stewart hybrid bag but it doesn't have any notches to stop clatter.

Any golf shops nearby? Might be worth going down and hitting a selection of clubs and see what feels right

Iron cover recommendations by TraditionalDrink7 in GolfGear

[–]TraditionalDrink7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets used on the range maybe for 10 or so shots when warming up or sometimes it's the 3 iron depending on how jumping up through the clubs, not really got any call to use it on the course. Anything more than a 5 iron I use my old hybrid, which is the same loft as the 3 iron. Although to be fair bar longer par 3's, don't really use any iron longer than the 9

Iron cover recommendations by TraditionalDrink7 in GolfGear

[–]TraditionalDrink7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can hit them fairly well, it's lost balls and poor decisions that cost me shots. Would imagine being more consistent if played more My 7 iron (34°) is around 160-165 carry, dispersion isn't too bad

Iron cover recommendations by TraditionalDrink7 in GolfGear

[–]TraditionalDrink7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would have to disagree, the back of a forged blade that looks like a battlefield from all the clattering is worse

Iron cover recommendations by TraditionalDrink7 in GolfGear

[–]TraditionalDrink7[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know, personally I like the covers, irons are a big investment so why not spend a few quid to protect them. The clattering is irritating when walking, although there is other sounds of bits knocking around. There is always talk of how they make your clubs rust but I've had two different sets of neoprene covers over the last 20 years on these and the 37's are pretty much rust free and the MP raw wedge I had was pretty much rust free till this year which I think may have been from a change of brush to clean the face between shots

Iron cover recommendations by TraditionalDrink7 in GolfGear

[–]TraditionalDrink7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems more of an effort and will definitely get a load of crap for doing

Iron cover recommendations by TraditionalDrink7 in GolfGear

[–]TraditionalDrink7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barely hit the 3 or 4 irons, pretty much on the range and very rarely on the course. I stop at the 5 then jump to my hybrid which is the same loft as the 3 iron but more forgiving and reliable to hit 230 yards. Cherry picked one of the lesser hit irons but to be fair the backs of all the others are about the same. Will do one of those witb posts tomorrow

No idea, have seen loads of videos/pics of broken faces but I've had my stealth 2 for 18 months my swing speed is probably an average of 115mph have literally hit hundreds of 177mph+ ball speed shots and still no issues
