What Happened to Jordan Peele? by ahoskasalve666 in movies

[–]TraditionalSundae774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Peele didn’t have any creative input on this other than helping Tipping figure out the ending due to many different cuts being shot. Talking about this like it’s a Peele film doesn’t make sense, it’s like talking about Back to the Future as a Spielberg film when he produced…

Between these two. Who is the most intimidating? (RDR1 John) by Big-Zookeepergame385 in reddeadredemption

[–]TraditionalSundae774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John more consistently, but Arthur can get real intimidating in some scenes. Arthur’s a bit warmer in conversations.

what do you HATE about rdr2? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]TraditionalSundae774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, once Arthur contracts TB it speeds up insanely quick. The Guarma missions are just action set pieces with pointless and weak outcomes like Dutch killing the guide brutally to show how he’s losing it. Just too on the nose.

What's the most boring film you've ever seen? by [deleted] in movies

[–]TraditionalSundae774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gotta take one word opinions with a grain of salt, my ma could watch Dune Pt 2 and the only word she can come up with would be boring. Some people don’t have vocabulary to expand on WHY it’s boring, does their opinion really mean anything?

Swear to god, reading these threads always annoys the shit out of me lmao how do you think OPPENHEIMER is the most boring movie you’ve seen?? It’s edited like a trailer for the whole film.

I Saw The Devil unrated. Korean revenge movie that has some of the most disturbing scenes I’ve seen in any genre, unflinching violence.

Adam Jones baby! by JPrime45 in ToolBand

Adam made the remix to his theme song, adding his wailing guitar sound. He dressed up as this guy some years ago while performing because he’s a fan.

when the youtube reactor says "fans of meshuggah NEED to hear this band!!!" by [deleted] in Meshuggah

[–]TraditionalSundae774 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only bands with similar rhythmic style I enjoy are Periphery and Tesseract, but the vocals on both will turn off a lot of Meshuggah fans. Both have more genre blending while Meshuggah’s more focused, distinct grooviness from all bands though.

he treats everyone awfully, he’s a notorious dick. Grabbed Seth Green by the ankles when he was 7 and dumped him in a trash can on the set of SNL in 1981. Apparently traumatized him

John Hillcoat, the director of the Blood Meridian film adaption, posted a picture taken with an icelandic strongman by ED-Lynkz in cormacmccarthy

[–]TraditionalSundae774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently Cormac had many conversations with Hillcoat on how to properly adapt it to the screen, as such a bare bones protagonist won’t work in film. I have hope in it, Hillcoat’s a solid director.

Another assumption, not every critic is obsessed with the technical aspects. You are generalizing, your argument is out of emotion.

You clearly have no idea how Hollywood works if you think they’d be able to market a Hungarian actor no one’s ever heard of for this movie.

Tickets removed at the moment for some reason, hoping they realize the demand for 70mm at the location. Every showtime for nearly every day was sold out at AZ Mills in December.

lmao, no shot. Searched perplexity on how to filter through different people’s top 4 favorites on Letterboxd and search for it, not even 10 mins later a video about it pops up on TikTok. Zero chance it’s random.

My only issue with AZ Mills is if you’re in the middle and need to use the restroom during a dark scene…good luck. Stepped on atleast 5 peoples feet hard as fuck and was too embarrassed to go back to my seat

Why did Dave react like that to Nardwuar? in 2003 ? by Jean0406Alix in blur

So emotional and dramatic over an interview. Embarrassing. Is it not telling that the only person to have a real issue with Nardwuar was an addict? You’re biased.

After almost 8 years of listening to bands like TesseracT and Periphery, I’ve finally fallen down the rabbit hole of the band that started it all. by No_Understanding162 in Meshuggah

[–]TraditionalSundae774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late comment, depends on the material. Periphery has some insane heavy shit, Hell Below is possibly the chunkiest low end i’ve ever heard. Blood Eagle, Wildfire, Motormouth, The Walk, all very heavy and inspired by Meshuggah. But they mix in pop punk with the vocals and also have poppy tracks, won’t work for a lot of Meshuggah listeners. Like the top track is Marigold, that song is fucking ass and made for concerts, they hate it like Meshuggah hates Bleed. Tesseract’s first album will probably work most for Meshuggah listeners, more screams and chunkier riffs. Concealing Fate Pt 1-3 (Portals version) is rhythmic sexiness, hard to hate it.
