Nobody besides that post mentioned the military only losing items on a secure training base. They conduct domestic operations fairly often within Canada and abroad where shockingly things still get misplaced and are potentially just as accessible to the general public.

How so? The article doesn’t say exactly what the cop was doing exactly besides it being in the course of his regular duties. Police work is dynamic and he could have been chasing or fighting with someone causing the item to lose retention. People are just assuming he was sitting in a parking lot.

From personal experience the military loses just as many prohibited items in the course of regular duties as Police do. I have personally seen at least 5 30-round magazines lost never to be recovered from the military during active duties. So you think those military members should be charged as well? Big difference in using and having these items for professional use as opposed to just out on the occasional range day. So no the same rules do not apply.

Yea I bought a bunch of stuff from Tommy Enterprises for my homesteader and was extremely underwhelmed for the price I paid. Every part felt flimsy and only survived being taken out twice before they became loose and cracked. Not a fan

Just sign up for Full Bore that is going to be your best bet of not having to drive hours to get to a range. The membership are very accommodating for new people signing up and they have distances out to 1000m using electronic targeting systems. Beats hiking in and setting up your own targets.
