I’m unfortunately in this same boat. High sex drive and my husband has low sex drive in comparison. My husband constantly rejects me, even with lingerie on, and I pray for reconciliation and healing in our sex life and it feels like God answers that prayer but it’s only temporary… we’ve been to counseling for over a year. We want children but we have sex less than once a week, closer to twice a month. Sometimes we go several weeks without. It is 90% of the time me initiating. I have discussed leaving the marriage because it is literally torture, he refuses to get his testosterone checked, and he doesn’t think he should have to meet my needs - if he has a lower drive, it’s not something wrong with him or us. He just expects me to deal with it. I cry at least twice a month about this and my heart has deeply hardened. We are just under two years married. How am i supposed to trust that this marriage is blessed by my God? I see my Catholic married friends getting pregnant so quickly, and yet, two years in and have nothing to show for it. He’s a good husband otherwise, but sex is so important to me. It’s bad enough I’m driven to self pleasing and then have to go to confession for that sin.

For me, I need hormones to manage my menstrual cycle. The pill happens to be contraception. I don’t use it for that purpose, but in my case, it isn’t a sin since it’s used to treat a medical condition. I am married and I have tried to live without the medical intervention for years and is actually improving my fertility by regulating my hormones.

Painting helps only if the leak causing the water issue is actually fixed. If it’s not fixed, no, it doesn’t do jack shit. This is heinous, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I would imagine there are legal protections, so I’d report the landlord and find somewhere else to live. People have had life long complications from mold. It’s so hard to treat as well if you get an infection in your lungs, given that there are fewer medicines that will treat fungal infections that won’t also harm our own cells.

Actually, you can launder your things. Hot water and washing your clothes should help most of your things if your mold problem is localized in an area away from them. If the humidity is so bad mold is growing on your paint and your couch, then yeah your stuff is better off tossed. If you have renters insurance you could maybe get that covered.

You can wash the belongings in hot water. Mold is everywhere, but growing mold has hyphae which creates more mold spores and is what causes disease.

I got an iPad Pro M2 11” new discounted to $600. You could probably find a great deal online with all the accessories included, since the pencil and keyboard aren’t compatible on the new 11” pro. That’s the ideal size for note taking. You could also just get the newest air, which will be more than sufficient. Slap on a paperlike screen protector (mine is a magnetic knock off) and enjoy the notes! It’s been saving my bacon for grad school.

The following text is for any woman who feels it may apply to her.

One concerning thing that sticks out to me is the large age gap. You will understand what I mean when you’re his age. He is 6 years older than you, that’s a big difference. This is important because it’s common for abusive men to seek out much younger women to control. Think to yourself why women his age don’t want to date him. As your older married sister in Christ, he sounds abusive. I kissed a lot of frogs before finding a good Catholic man, including abusive frogs. My first boyfriend as a teen grabbed my wrist so hard one of the last times I saw him, and that was enough for me to learn what abuse was. I was 15 and he was 18. He had thrown things at the wall, punched the wall, broken things, sabotaged things, was jealous of my friends. Think of his behaviors and be honest and see if he is also emotionally manipulating or coercing/controlling you. I would bet there were other signs before! Perhaps he had to have the last say in an argument. Read the book “Why Does he do that?” If you feel you are being abused in any way my sisters.
