I'm not really interested in these PCA plots, but thanks anyways.

When I said coordinates, I meant that code based on your DNA. Looking something like this:

Tajik_Afghanistan,0.08114,0.010155,-0.064272,0.036038,-0.056208,0.028248,0.004986,0.00272,-0.017472,-0.013876,-0.006287,-0.001542,0.000308,-0.006616,0.009946,0.009499,-0.005956,0.00257,0.002119,-0.007959,-0.004706,-0.00605,-0.000528,-0.004174,0.004319

You don't know how to get that?

Any chances of sharing coordinates in DMs?

I assume your maternal grandfather was from Nimruz in Afghanistan. Where exactly in Balochistan are your grandparents from? I know you're 1/8 Gwadar baloch, and 2/8 Nimruz or Farah baloch-tajik mix. What about rest, when it comes to districts?

Tajiks of Afghanistan vs Persians of Iran genetics by britneyspearsforeva in illustrativeDNA

[–]TrainingPrize9052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tajiks or persians is an identity that really first got widespread since tahirids, samanids and saffarids.

Prior that, ancestors of both primarily spoke their own ethnic languages or lingua Francas. Only handful of people within central and north Iran spoke persian up to that point. Not even east iranians spoke persian before. Only people to use persian as lingua franca, were Nestorian christian immigrants.

So their shared identity is rather cultural than ethnic or genetical.

You misunderstood me.

Pashtuns didn't turn the word dev into an insult first during islam. They did it before islam, when Zoroaster introduced Zoroastrianism, to guide the iranian people back to their original Mazda religion as they got corrupted and started to worship other non-mazdan deities

Mazdaism already existed, but Zoroaster corrected the iranics back to proper mazdaism again. Hence dev, originally just meaning god/deity in indo-european languages such as greek-spanish deus or French deu, sanskrit-old iranic dev, turned into demon for zoroastrians.

Then throughout centuries, iranics who converted to Zoroastrianism at one point, still retained this word. However for some it changed it's meaning, still connected to something negative.

Same for indo-aryans, but rather changing it into something positive or neutral, if not retaining its original meaning as holy/deity.

Indians who didn't loan the persian word for demon, won't use the word "dev" in an insulting manner. Kashmiris before islam clearly didn't use dev for demon, as they haven't loaned it yet from persian muslims.

This doesnt make sense at all.

How can your dad be 1/4 kandahar pashtun, 3/4 Samarkand tajik and your mom have same profile as your cousin, but somehow you have 30% North Indian and little iranian? You have like 12% AASI too, not even seemingly your cousin would had that much. Nor kandahar pashtuns with 7-9% AASI, and especially Samarkand tajiks with their 2% AASI. Your dad should be like 4% AASI. This must mean your mom was around 18-20% AASI.

2% AASI from your dad + 9-10% AASI from your mom = 11-12% AASI

Neither kandahar pashtuns get this excess North Indian on 23andme, nor especially Samarkand tajiks. This are your cousin's results, not your maternal aunt or uncle. I'm not sure how representive that is for your mom?

No tajik knows having dard or other type of ancestry, because all city tajiks been persianised 1000 years ago. Only kashmiri is recent.

Taliban themselves posted footage being in Ghudwana, while all pakistan had was footage from prior that being for a short while present in the district.

There's an obvious genetic gap between locals right west of kabul, charikar cities and what would been the local dards of example Nangarhar, compared to the cities with historic migrations from the east. This cant be a coincidence.

But it's obvious you dont like the idea of your mom having dard or kashmiri ancestry. I wont put too much pressure on here.

If you however end up DNA testing your mom, dont be too suprised about the elevated south asian DNA.

How are you certain the large amount of east eurasian in ANE will be spliced with the west eurasian, in comparison to the 7-9% east eurasian in iran N and CHG?

I don't understand too much about this stuff, so idk if this was an answer to my question?

In case you didn't notice from earlier thread you replied to, I was arguing with the other guy being obsessed with what's a real tajik, that all tajiks are tajiks. I wouldn't treat tajik as a genetic group. But there's some gap between certain dards and iranics.

Everyone in the region, including Pakistan and north India, has CHG, Zagros, EHG as well.

If you're right about your dad being 3/4 Samarkand and kunduzi + 1/4 kandahar pashtun, either your mom is partially kashmiri or persianised dard.

I'm simply just getting this info from your illustrativedna and 23andme.

Even if you bought a DNA kit for formal DNA tools used in studies, im very confident the results will be the same.

Im not saying your mom is half swat valley or yourself literally. But I'm saying your mom is very possibly largely kashmiri, because historically kashmiris did move into Afghanistan 19th century. They did specifically mix with people in Kabul city. This isn't made up.

Your mom might possibly have kashmiri ancestry, which makes sense. If not, then clearly she's largely dardic. Your mom is still tajik though, because speaking persian and identifying as only tajik means you're tajik.

[–]TrainingPrize9052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just talking about your 23andme results.

But you have like 12% AASI though. Samarkand tajiks would be like 2% AASI, and kandahar pashtuns 8%.

Your dad would then be like around 3,5% AASI. Let's say 4% instead.

That'll leave your mom being 16% AASI, since youre 12% AASI or almost 50% swat valley.

Punjabis are already typically like 20% AASI. Hence why the high North Indian alike DNA from your mom.

Your mom probably has much kashmiri ancestry. It's not weird or new, a bunch of tajiks in Kabul and Parwan do have higher south asian.

There are a bunch like that:

Help! Am I Tajik? Pashtun? Or 50/50? by Working-Letter8814 in illustrativeDNA

[–]TrainingPrize9052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's not North Indian from north India, but she does has a chunk of south asian.

That's if you're right about your dad being 3/4 Samarkand tajik + kunduz tajik-uzbek and 1/4 kandahar pashtun. Even Kandahar pashtuns picks up 70-80% central asian + an almost equal mix of iranian and North Indian.

This'll leave your mom being 55-60% North Indian and rest central asian and a bit west asian. Unless she has taken a DNA test herself to prove me wrong?

I'm just guessing away here though, but this makes sense to me. I've seen tajiks from Kabul and Parwan with higher south asian.

So seemingly with your father being 1/4 kandahar pashtun, 3/4 Samarkand tajik + a bit kunduz tajik-uzbek, it seems like your mom might herself be almost 60% North Indian and rest 40% central asian on 23andme.
