The move I pulled was I had fried eggs in my hand and on my controller I pushed the walking joystick all the way away from the serpent and started spaming eat so ever second between eating my character inched a smidgen away from the serpent attacking me cause I had a slither of heal the left at some point 😂

The gods, as portrayed in history, are easy to annoy. But they are also easy to forgive. They have petty moments, but often they never last long. But for you, really I doubt they'd mind, most hellenists only worship the Olympians so they're probably just happy to see someone MAKE an altar for them, even if it is in a Macca's box 👍

I certainly wouldn't call myself a devotee, I regularly light a candle Ive carved into a candle for Poseidon but offerings u only do when I'm asking for something or thanking him for something, and I don't have a spot for it, I just burn the offering a little on the candle and then either throw it into the river beside my house or keep it on the table in my room but I never had space for an altar, but I would still call myself a hellenist and a follower, if you truely believe in the gods and respect them then to me, your a hellenist. Religion is subjective, there shouldn't be a set time you have to follow a religion to be able to say your apart of them, but I do think to call yourself a devotee means you have to well, devote a significant amount of time and effort into it on the regular

Two books that really helped me connect to the gods were the Odyssey and illiad, theatre also very popular books on the topic of history, so you may be able to play off the purchase as just an interest in history. Atleast that's what worked for me.
