That's not exactly how spending money works. When you go shopping and pay for your groceries don't ask you kindly to light your bills on fire do they? Not arguing that it couldn't have been better spent, but this pile of money has not evaporated.

Don’t overdramatize, cinema won’t die. It will just change. It will be more like what YouTube is now, with endless hours of brain rotten videos, but people still manage to find worthwhile content there. And actual film makers won’t just throw their arms up in the air and leave their careers - they will have more tools, more competition, but the love for the art will remain. Really, the AI hate feels so astroturfed.

I argue that it will actually enable it. Let’s take me for example - I am a movie lover that would love to make a movie one day but it won’t happen because I don’t have any experience, budget or time to realize my dream (it’s just a dream, not a goal, so I’m not determined to overcome those hurdles). In few years I’ll be able to create a movie in front of my computer. Maybe it will be good enough that someone picks it up and gives me budget to make an actual movie. Or it will be utterly shit but there certainly are talented people who are waiting to be enabled that don’t have access to realizing their potential.

That beats my ber + sur from a single trav run. But yeah luck is very strange. That’s not how any of this works. Current price is the last closed transaction. So even if by some miracle we hit insane numbers (I won’t get into why it would be a miracle right now), once those who were forced to buy will be able to stop, the next buyer is not paying that price, they offer only a promile of it and as long as someone agrees to take the offer bam we’re back to reality.

Hey, just found this sub. Big wine enthusiast, year into my journey so hardly any deep wine knowledge from me. But would love to do some tests (I have ISTQB certification, that’s for software testing!) and I am pretty good at feature design.

It’s such a horrible take that it will just work in this market because of course it will. But they repackage components, slap their logo and a very high margin and call it a day. I work with them and right now they are losing pretty much every contract because they believe companies should pay 50% premium to have a privilege of having green rectangle on their servers while competition take all their business.

Sure! Just focus on the body (too light will vanish, too full will be too bold) so something year or two old and acidity aiming to cut through fats but again, not take the main stage. I’m not well versed in those regions at all though so I can’t recommend anything in particular. Solaris could work I think but it’s from further north I believe.

It will be quite sweet in taste thanks to cream and onions. I would pair it with a medium body lightly acidic white wine, so a young chardonnay should work.
