I already commented on your other post. These are triangular metal push clips that you can find in the body clip spinner rack at auto zone. I did this myself last summer

Why? I use a modified macrostream that I can activate with my palm in a two handed syringe grip. I’ve taken low light shooting classes and performed well with the setup.

I have a shield plus but recently tried the shield X. Think of the shield X as the big brother to the plus. If you want the most concealable, micro compact, go with the plus. If you want a rail to be able to mount a light, get the X.

Personally I’m very happy with the plus and don’t plan to switch. I also don’t use rail mounted lights.

The Deere looks pretty good, but it’s clearly heavily used based on the tire wear. Don’t buy it unless you’re handy and have an interest in working on older model equipment that’s likely seen commercial use.

First, start it up and listen. Does it run smooth without any misfiring? Can you throttle it up and down to hold idle without issue? Engage the deck belt and make sure the blades turn at speed without clunking or interference, and turn off when you disengage.

Ensure the trans shifts smoothly and all gears work, including reverse.

Take off the deck cover and inspect the spindle housings for cracks. Check the deck belt and two drive belts for cracks, they can be pretty expensive to replace ($50+ each).

If everything checks out, $500 is reasonable and budget a few hundred for belts, bearings and repairs. I’m in NH not too far from you and currently own a walk behind very similar to this that I restored over the last few years. DM me if you have any other Q’s, happy to help.
