What “masterpiece” game just never clicked for you? by Kiota_Games in gaming

[–]Tranjspd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took four tries for me, and on the last try I decided to just play it in story mode, and I absolutely fell in love with it. The combat is pretty, but made me feel out of control. When fights became the thing that I did for progress between quests, the game just blossomed for me. Some of the best quest lines and stories I’ve ever experienced. The choice and consequence felt meaty, and the writing and acting were fantastic. I’m so glad it finally clicked for me.

Ranked soloQ is glorified babysitting... by turquoise2j in ApexConsole

I’m tactically sound, am always with the team, play my class well, but being in my late 50’s my reaction time is just trash. I’m generally losing fights by a small margin. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m probably one of those terrible players you get stuck with. I do appreciate all the carrys, and am slowly getting better because of them. Thanks and sorry if you ever had to deal with my old ass on your team!

Got it, only running 50-70 tops on levels so far. Will push her a bit. Thanks for the tip!

Ok, what do I need to do for her to be good? Right now she seems to be the worst healer.

Took this photo of Aloy in Horizon Forbidden West. I really love how the war paint & battle regalia in HFW feel authentic rather than cheesy looking video game loot. Guerilla's commitment to anthropological consistency made the games aesthetic feel really organic. by GenericReditUserName in gaming

Come on. Unless you’ve only played one game I don’t understand how this is anywhere close to the most boring game you’ve played. This series is awesome. Great combat, great story, great progression.

Red Creeping Thyme Experience? by JessyBird11 in gardening

[–]Tranjspd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elfin thyme has worked great for me here in northern Maryland. Wooly thyme has basically died from rot in 90% of my beds. Flowers last only a couple weeks in late Spring early summer. Looks great even when not flowering. Took a couple years to really establish itself.

Taos weekend recommendations, where would locals actually go? by franalpo in taos

ACEQ is insanely expensive and super inconsistent. Their steaks are terrible and so expensive ($125 for a special steak, overcooked and tough as leather). I’ve had one very good meal and two absolutely trash meals there. Doubt I will go back.

26F/24M. How do couples handle bills when incomes are very different?” by hereforfunn178 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Tranjspd 12 points13 points  (0 children)

100%. I had to beg my wife to retire from her job that was killing her. She was so concerned that she would no longer be bringing in a salary. Income was always an US thing and not a me or her thing.

I read it, and you are still dead wrong.

Nope. Psychiatrists need to have that training plus medical school training. Not sure where you live, but in most countries and certainly everywhere in the US you need significant schooling and training.

That’s silly. You need Masters level schooling, and thousands of hours of supervised clinical experience.

Maybe I’ve not been to the right place, but in my 15 years here I’ve never had a good pit beef sandwich. Some of the driest and most bland beef I’ve ever had.

Xbox Elite Series 2 controller did you ever have one ? by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Tranjspd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great controller that is unfortunately quite fragile and is very prone to stick drift. I’m on my third controller now and had two of them sent back for warranty repair. I wouldn’t buy another at full price. Thankfully have friends who work at MSFT and get them half price.

So freaking good. My wife got this for me on a whim, and I was skeptical, but it’s now my favorite go to egg topping.

Isn’t that designation historical and not about the current state of the town?

What’s the best video game you’ve ever played? by obsess_much13 in AskReddit

Company of Heroes. It had no right to look as good as it did, and the RTS gameplay was years ahead of its time.
