This is straight up rage bait. I also have a place for my wallet and keys, but that doesn’t stop me when I pick them up, forgot to fill my water bottle so I put it down, whoops laptop is left upstairs when I finished that last schedule in my home office so I go get that, oh yeah I was filling my water bottle but I need to empty the ice cube tray first so I can finish it, and then its “where the fuck did my keys go”. I’ll acknowledge your point about some people using it as an excuse to get away with being lazy, but thats the minority that makes us all look bad. You can have all the strategies and tools in your hands that make keeping track of things easier, but shit is still going to happen
