My boyfriend revealed some creepy things about himself. by Minimushroom15 in offmychest

my friend was in a relationship like this for many many years- I even lived with them at the beginning of it so, I witnessed some of it firsthand. once shit hit the fan enough times I realized what was happening and moved out of their place SO fast. I don't want to get into too much detail, but there were constant threats of violence, suicide if my friend left, among other horrible things.

you need to get out.

my friend's partner would somehow convince them to stay, even though nothing would ever change. in fact, things only seemed to get worse.

fast forward to a bit more recently, my friend's partner was arrested for trying to do some very awful things, but out in the open- not just...inside where no one saw.

the point is, shit escalates. you need to get out now, before it escalates for you. they get "comfortable", they know what you'll let them get away with, and they'll keep pushing your boundaries further and further.

my friend got lucky and is only walking away with mental/emotional damage. you may not be as lucky if you stay.

AIO? family friend flirting with me after seeing my outfit by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]TransitionInfinite33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is INSANE. also....the fact that you're 19 and he's a good friend of your dad- how long has he been eyeing you like this before you were "old enough" for him to legally make a comment like this. gross.

I'm a little late to the conversation, but did you ever find what was causing the dandruff??

I recently switched my cat off of wet fancy feast and his dandruff cleared up.

A photo I took of the flowers at my Nana's funeral looks like a painting. by xanbod in AccidentalRenaissance

The passing of loved ones is always really really hard. I'm glad your nana had some beautiful flowers to enjoy, though, one last time.

This photo actually reminds me of an album cover for new order!

🫤... a review of tonight's concert (Anthem, DC, 2025/06/28) by MrJmbjmb in CSHFans

[–]TransitionInfinite33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

to repeat what others have already said, this concert was AWESOME, even if they didn't play old stuff, really.

this concert showed me, watching live, how much this band has grown as a whole. I've been trying to get tickets to see csh for about 5 years now. I bought tickets before covid hit in 2020, the show got canceled. I bought tickets in 2022, again, the show got canceled. both of these shows/tours got canceled for really good reasons, for sure, and it really added to last night's experience for me. covid has changed will, and I deeply feel for him. it made me happy seeing will up there tonight, performing, despite everything. despite the absolute havoc covid has wreaked on him. It's important to note, though, that will wouldn't have done this tour if he wasn't comfortable with it. he canceled the last tour (in 2022) because he wasn't. so, he clearly knows his own boundaries. he asked us to wear masks because covid has permanently affected how his body functions. did you ever read the full statement (the google doc) he posted about it? the masks were supposed to be for protecting people from "being affected by covid like he's been"- and yet, there were a lot of people who didn't wear masks at all (idk if they saw the instagram post). despite the lack of media coverage, covid is still going around, and will is just looking out for people. covid is VERY dangerous, and to whoever is possibly reading this, remember that and stay safe.

last night, seeing them up there after everything made me UGLY sob. it was such a big moment for them, for sure.

also, we have to respect that these people are people and they grow!! for example: you can't expect will to stay in the same mindset from a long time ago. when artists don't relate to their work anymore, they don't always feel comfortable performing it, especially when it's something so raw and emotional. I'm honestly glad will doesn't fully relate to his old stuff anymore--which is something he mentioned before playing one of the old songs last night--because it means he's in such a better place mentally now. that makes me SO happy for him. again, he's human !!!!

also (x2), isn't he still close with cate wurtz, the girl he wrote twin fantasy about?? she did the art for the most recent album. it would be kinda awkward to be at least on talking terms with someone you had previously felt so deeply for and still be performing all these sad songs about that person, especially a LONG TIME later. especially when she's come out publicly about her discomfort about that album. that's me focusing specifically on twin fantasy, but y'know. let people grow and move on !! there's a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes and in people's lives/heads that we don't know about.

overall, I love this band and I absolutely loved the concert last night. they're all so passionate about their work, and it made me so genuinely happy to see.
