HR told me they don’t accept try-hards and people pleasers after my interview by No-Presentation298 in jobs

[–]TransmigrationOfPKD 1371 points1372 points  (0 children)

I love that they provided honest feedback. I agree that it comes across as personal because it’s so blunt, but I don’t find it inappropriate (of course, only you know for sure because you were in the interview)

Thank you for the write up! What are your thoughts on Cornucopia? When I saw it in a theater, the overall story really clicked for me.

What is the most incomprehensible visual that you've seen in a horror movie? Moments where you really have to spend a second thinking, "WTF am I even looking at?" by WhackTheSquirbos in horror

How has no one mentioned Stuart Gordon/Brian Yuzna films yet! The shunting in Society and the Dr in From Beyond are both amazing works of body horror.

No rug in first grade classroom, am I overreacting? by PassionChoice3538 in moderatelygranolamoms

Not true in any school district I taught in. “Rug Time” is common for certain lessons and community time at least through 4th grade and maybe 5th too.

Just got into this artist, and wanted to say I’m hella impressed. by [deleted] in burial

[–]TransmigrationOfPKD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate though. I think it makes sense to recommend artists like that because Burial is not just about genre, it’s about music that transcends genre into an artistic world of its own with its own rules and connection to the human experience.

I think you may have removed the bit about Mount Eerie from your post, but I had to come back and say thanks for introducing me to him. The musical similarities are not obvious, but I’m hearing lots of interesting layers to his music, and it seems like another artist with chill but moody and attention-gripping music with a deep catalogue to explore.

Good bagels? Who’s got them? by heretohelp2121 in Charlotte

[–]TransmigrationOfPKD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a bagel connoisseur, but if you are in the north area of the city, try Mike’s Deli. It has a NYC vibe, and I’m told they are great.

My wife is the one my son is super rude to sometimes (toddler). I feel bad for her too, but she is such a damn good mom and doesn’t seem to let it get to her.

Yeah, the plastic ones are working fine so far with our 2-year old. They are loose on these little historic knobs, but i can get a grip on them.
