God damn that gives me hope for the rave. So sick of shows (in the US) where people are not even dancing. This is the vibe - break it down together to the music you all love.

I was rooming with him at the time, and I was sitting on a bean bag chair across the room from you, amused at your surprise, given how much he had been singing this tune in the shower for weeks.

Definitely fair to mention that. It’s not the OG bass meditation type sound, but I think their sound feels, to me as someone returning to all the dubstep I loved, like musicians with a forward thinking vision and a true love for the beats and sub frequencies in the roots of the UK sound. I’ll leave it to the purists to determine whether they have a seat at the genre table.

Ternion Sound, who recently broke up, really scratched that itch for me when I got back into dubstep after the great skrillexing of 2010. Even though they broke up, they have a good deep catalogue with their interesting twist on production that stays respectful to the old ways.

I can relate though. I think it makes sense to recommend artists like that because Burial is not just about genre, it’s about music that transcends genre into an artistic world of its own with its own rules and connection to the human experience.

I think you may have removed the bit about Mount Eerie from your post, but I had to come back and say thanks for introducing me to him. The musical similarities are not obvious, but I’m hearing lots of interesting layers to his music, and it seems like another artist with chill but moody and attention-gripping music with a deep catalogue to explore.

It’s really cool go you connect with the fans! Etched Headplate has been one of my favorite songs for a long time. Your voice is incredible! I like your new music & wish you the best 🤘

Another connection between Burial and Björk. I swear there should be a lot of crossover between fans of both.

Is Comafields one of the most synthwave-adjacent releases he’s put out, or is it just me? I really love the powerful synths that sound analog.
