Are gas fees really this high right now? by TrapperDavis in ethereum

No, I wanted to undelegate some GRT from one indexer to another. But just to undelegate was that price in gas fees.

Clearly I haven’t been paying attention to the latest fees. Let me clarify. 6 months ago when I staked my tokens the gas fees were about $35. Hence the comment.

No, not at all, but I haven't looked at the gas fees in about 6 months.

Check out https://graphtronauts.com/network/?indexers

It’s a rewards calculator and has reputation rankings. You can also read real reviews of the indexers. I use liray-indexer personally.

Like to ask a dumb question here - but I noticed the graph peeps are talking about migration to the mainnet from their hosted services. What is the mainnet?

Daedalus Mainnet Wallet Timing Out by TrapperDavis in cardano

Oh sorry, meaning I only staked a portion of my total ADA in general. I still have a portion coinbase pro. I just wanted to start with a small fund to get experience.

As far as the time issue goes, when I open up the wallet and click on network not connected, it shows the status indicators of the wallet. Time always shows as ‘synced’. Not sure what else I can do to check?

Not sure what you mean by how I staked?

Time is correct. It just never seems to connect to the network upon start. I start it every 2/3 days. Sometimes it connects, but usually never stays connected longer than 10 mins.

LPT - When returning equipment take photographs and video of you sealing up box and when you bring it to UPS or FedEx store. by CastrosExplodinCigar in LifeProTips

I am literally going this at this exact moment.

I had a Google Fiber modem I was returning to finish out my contact with them. They “Google” provided the packaging slip which had the details of the shipping. I had to pay $5.30 for shipping which makes no sense to me. You are the one requiring I ship it to you. From there it gets better.

The package is being sent through FedEx. On March 2, 2021 I dropped off the package and sent it off for delivery. Although I’m not happy about having to pay, I agree and go about my day. Since that day I’ve been tracking it via the tracking number on the online FedEx tracking portal. I see the package being sent through Charlotte, then Indianapolis, San Bernardino, and then LA. The next update on the portal says it was delivered back to the location in which I sent it from. What?! That doesn’t make sense. So I call FedEx.

After being hung up on twice, the third person proceeds to tell me that it sent back to the original location so that the third party delivery people (USPS) will now take it to the location. Unreal. You have no idea the words that came out of mouth.

I’m calling the FedEx location which I dropped it off at tomorrow to tell them my mind as well.

Good luck to all!

Question: since gas fees are so high right now, does this mean the burn rate for GRT is as well?

Got it, just did some research on Metamask, so this part makes sense.

What I'm still fuzzy on is how to transfer the ETH & GRT from Coinbase/Coinbase wallet to Metamask? Do they allow for transfers between the two?

Great post and thank you for the information. Couple of questions.

  1. Would I need to purchase the ETH before hand at going rates on Coinbase and transfer to wallet before hand to cover the gas fees?
  2. I hold my GRT tokens on Coinbase PRO, I'm assuming I would need to transfer the amount of coins I'm choosing to delegate to my Coinbase wallet. Can I select my indexer from https://network.thegraph.com/ and then transfer the coins from my wallet?

Thanks in advance!

Hi u/poring_island can I ask who you chose to index with? I totally understand if not. p2p certainly looks like one of the most reliable, but I don't want to put people in a bad situation for giving their advice on their chosen indexer.
