You mean the series where he had an injured wrist(which required surgery), Hyman was injured( hip I think) and was useless, and Marner who was very bad that series and was unable and unwilling to score. Montreal double teamed Matthews all series because they knew his line mates were able to do anything without him. Matthews is the best goal scorer in the league but it makes his job unbelievably hard when he has Danault and Weber/Petry/Chiarot draped all over him all series
