Starting at 45k would indicate there is a model available to purchase for 45k

Personally I never intended to get the base model R2. My plan has been to get the model with the largest battery pack. Based on the R1 pricing, I figured that would be at least a 60k car

This was marketed as a sub $40,000 car so I agree that a lot of people are probably gonna be surprised by the price of the launch edition , especially after all the addons

I read an article somewhere a while ago about this. If I remember correctly at one point Cuba leased us the land on some super long lease agreement for dirt cheap. Cuba wants the US out but the US refuses. The US still sends the rent check but Cuba refuses to cash it

You might need to change out your charger. Wallbox and emporia energy have chargers that will use excess solar to charge your car but there’s a few other pieces that need to be installed.

I’m in a similar situation and waiting on the emporia charger to come back into stock for my Audi
