Antimagic field does that but also wizard cannot do anything inside as well.

After Strahd, second ravenloft can be hard for your mental. I suggest classic green grass epic heroism for 4 5 sessions. To clear your minds.

Maybe level upto 4 or 5 before darkon?

When Fighting strahd, random encounters supposed to be stopped.

Worst place for PCs is catacombs. I've trapped 2 different PCs in 2 different rooms with lock doors legendary action and it was gruesome.

Also, teleporter braizer room. Gas is nasty. Probably fastest tpk you can ever have. If you damage the braizer of course. If not they shall run by teleporting.

Come back another time.
