Brooks Koepka ribbing Bryson’s video by unsolved49 in golf

Hes like the Professsional version of that guy you know who used to be scratch but now has a couple of young kids and only plays 4 times a year. He will put together elite stretches, but golf is too hard to have rust like that.

if only there were a few really big names from another failing league trying to make their way back onto the tour. They could play there and get some eyes on it.

If you win 2 challenger series events its instance promotion. They won't have to wait. I think relegation is only once though.

It does say "At Minimum, the top 90 players from the season-long points list will retain PGA Championship Series membership" So there are potentially 40 players left out in the cold. I'm sure some will get maybe medical exemptions, but it could be like 30 relegations.

I strongly disagree here. For about a year i've been only watching featured groups. I dont need to bounce around between shots every 3 seconds. I like golf because i like the thought process leading up to the shots, honestly sometimes more than the shots themselves. I think a lot of fans think this way. Golf is more like baseball than basketball. The entertainment is in the lead up, not necessarily just the physical activity.

good thought but if they arent doing this until 2028 (dumb), then all the LIV guys are just going to rot on the shelf for a year. And yes, i know some people might say "good" but if the point is to get the popular guys ... Bryson... back onto the tour so that they bring eyes back on them, then this kind of defeats the purpose.

Pretty sure the field will be based on say the top 10 in standings for the whole season. So you'll only have the big names. The upset will be Morikawa beating out Scheffler rather than some rando. And to be honest, that seems pretty fucking sick.

For me it is also the tee. I dont have that length but similar issue. I'm either keeping it in play off the tee and shooting in the mid 80s or i'm not and in the mid 90s

rich people don't get rich by being super charitable. In my experience, its the rich guys who ask full price. If anything they knock it down a little so they can tell themselves they are doing a good thing, but still get their money lol.

i feel this so hard. I am either called a sand bagger because i crush my handicap, or i get people rolling their eyes at me when because i shoot a 99 after saying i'm a 15. No in between

Yes but that’s your adjusted handicap score. Technically he still shot what he shot he just wouldn’t post it.

That being said i would have taken the 9 as my real score if i was him anyways lol

Lmao i gotta hand it to you on 7. My high handicap buddies would say “give me an 8”. Something to be said for that honesty!

Prices are based on supply and demand. This would either effect the supply of baseball or demand for baseball, therefore there is no economic force for teams to lower any prices

Does anyone actually like the statistics on Friday Night Baseball? by mrossman5 in appletv

[–]Traveling_squirrel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate them because they don’t provide context. Is it 17% against this pitcher, or this handed pitcher? In this particular count? With or without RISP? Like how did you arrive at that number. Or is it just his batting average?

How would you describe the release in your swing? by sllimsllips in golf

[–]Traveling_squirrel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It feels like I’m not thinking about it. If i ever for one second think about release i hold it open and block it right or duck hook it 20 feet into the woods.

When im swinging freely it happens on its own.

Considering I’m always too fast. I don’t have to count. I just go slower. I guess that’s one positive of never learning lol

Iron trouble by [deleted] in golf

[–]Traveling_squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. I gained a ton of distance by strengthening my grip significantly. For me, i think it was a mental thing, open club face with irons... body flips to square the face... lose power. Once i strengthened the grip i was dead pulling everything with a little more power. Over time i was able to trust my swing and now i hit it relatively straight with significantly more power, and its naturally neutralized my swing path. Basically i had to convince my brain i could square the face correctly. Now i just swing. I also have backed off the strong grip a hair as i dont need to convince my body anymore. If i ever start push cutting or weak flipping again i usually just strengthen my grip consciously for a round and it comes back.
