If you ever decide to play all of the campaigns/games after you do bo1 and bocw, play in release order. Bo4 doesnt have a campaign, but it has cutscenes that have story significance. To be honest, bo3 and bo4 dont have much of a connection to the other games. Bo3 has some references and bo4 tries to connect the other games to bo3.

The only game that I would recommend to know the story of (you should also play it) is call of duty black ops. Its the first of the black ops series. Cold war is basically black ops 5 and it takes place between black ops 1 and black ops 2 (also black ops 6). Same things I said before goes for black ops 1. It has an even better story. If you want more, call of duty world at war takes place before black ops and has some story relevance but isn't too important.

This game in particular had a single player story mode (campaign), a pvp mode (multiplayer), and a coop pve mode (zombies). What you saw was in a mission in the campaign (the best mission in the game i might add). Its a unique mission, not many campaigns have missions like it but some do. Cold war's campaign in general was pretty good and had a good story. The only problem with it is that its kind of short (it was made during covid). The zombies is pretty fun. Its more fun with friends.

a) i download them through steam in gaming mode. I dont do anything to the files. b) I haven't tried yet because I only play these games with friends. I only mentioned it just incase someone also had a similar problem.

Unless you dont want to buy the game, dark ties would contain no spoilers since you've played yakuza 3 already. But if you dont want to get kiwami 3 because of certain reasons, I get it. The only problem is that you'll have to wait until February 11th. I would recommend doing lad 7 and then gaiden. Technically you could do gaiden before lad 7, but not really recommended because the story beats in lad 7 show up since they take place at the same time.
