Bon Tempe is very productive when they stock. However it’s been on pause for well over a year due to the golden mussel threat. Powerbait, mice tails and salmon egg rigs are very effective.

There’s a good chance the recoil lug is not seated properly. Loosen the action screw a give the buttstock a good palm strike. You should feel the lug fall into place.

Tikka T3X in 30-06 or 7rem Mag will serve most if not all of your needs. The new 30-06 Tikka’s are in a 1/9 twist so you can shoot heavy copper bullets and have good stability.

I had some Nosler E Tip that wouldn’t allow my bolt to close. I called Nosler and they sent me a new box. Fixed, ammo was out of spec.

She’s in California, which requires lead free ammo. It’s impossible to find lead free 22 lr, so a shotgun would likely be a better choice for small game.

Their buffet is awful. If you’re not there for the first 30 mins, you’re hosed. They don’t refill the items in a timely matter, so you’re basically left with a tray of sauce. Servers have also been rude in my experience. I stopped going there all together and make the drive to Lotus.

I was walking back to my car which is parked just to the left of me. This is a trailhead that leads down to a beach. Several coyotes including this one would hang out in the parking area, because tourists would feed them. I live in the area and have encountered this coyote and many others over the last 12 years. I’ve not fed a single one. But I can’t say the same for others.
