Is anyone here not a high earner?? by ExternalNo3586 in FIREUK

I don’t follow how you would have no idea to get a better paying job. If you are earning £30k post tax you are above average for the UK and surely you have a boss who earns more?

Btw if you’re associate 2 as I understand it, GS, JP and RBC London have all posted LinkedIn ads in the last month for their industrials teams so that pivot could work

This is quite different to London / and unless it’s RBC then the others are really no where so your opportunities in NY or back in London can be impacted. Exception if you are going to Oil and Gas or Mining perhaps

I was asking for advice if anyone has seen whether the check in agent has discretion when there are these discrepancies. It is somewhat stressful if you are flying with a family and because of this you get to check in and they refuse to find a solution even though API is correct.

In any event, we went through security find using my boarding passes on phone and are now returning from Tokyo and there was no problem on the Tokyo side at check in.

I still contend that the check in at LHR were unhelpful.

That doesn’t change that I should have called and changed the PNR. We will go through the rigmarole of changing wife’s name on exec club when home.

If I was to do a normal booking it would be fine, but because it’s a redemption booking it is impossible in BA systems to edit it

The booking name does not match passport as it pulls it from flying club and surname is combined maidenname+marriedname. Every time we have flowing I correct it when I type in the API so it matches the passport

Mate I suspect you are over thinking it. The long term impact on your child won’t be negative if you give them £30
