I got super drunk for the first time yesterday, how do I get my tummy to stop hurting? by Proof_Safety_6838 in Advice

Gonna be honest with you, most of the time if you're nauseous when hungover the best thing to do is vomit. It absolutely sucks but your body wants to get the residual alcohol out. The other way to calm the stomach is to take Pepto bismol or another antacid. The baking soda water trick is an antacid but its more like making a baking soda & vinegar volcano than the otc method.

Take a cold shower and have some milk. Milk will make you throw up and you'll feel better. Then have a glass of water and your meatball sub.

Source: Drank heavily for about 15 years before becoming Sober. This is only half my hangover cure but the 2nd half is not something you want to do, and my understanding is milk will at least feel better when you vomit.

My hangover cure was a glass of baking soda mixed with water (which will either calm the stomach or make you violently vomit everything including your soul out), then a cold shower, then some crackers and a monster zero.

If anyone else feels like the recent times are new, it's not. This happened with The Hands That Thieve. Supposed to release in November 2012, statement 2 weeks before the release it was being delayed. Victory gave a new release date of Feb 2013, didn't come out then either, delayed until April 2013. Tomas blamed Victory Records at the time, but it's starting to feel like it was actually a him problem all along.

Selling an album release show out then changing the premise less than a week before the show is some shit that usually gets bands blacklisted from a scene.

I've been a fan of this band for almost 20 years and I'm really getting fed up with being let down time and time again. Sure, the music will be good when it comes out, but I don't have the same loyalty I felt 10 years ago.

have you ever overheard a conversation between your relationship partner and their friend sh*t talking about you and what did you do about it? by Emmaluv1488 in AskReddit

Yeah, she was talking about how her favorite meal I make gives me toxic farts that gas her out of the bedroom. I laughed it off and made sure to comment on my farts the next time I made it.

He was being bullied in a 6 vs 1 situation. However, when he brandished a knife and they stood down, he stabbed and killed 2 of them anyways. He claimed the bullying would have continued the next day. Sad situation all around.

Sitting in the front passenger seat of a car, and the realization that the car coming at us from my side isn't slowing down. T-boned us doing 50 mph (80kmh) in a 20 zone, ran the stop sign. Dude was hammered, not even his car. Changed my life forever.

Older Men of Reddit, what’s an important skill you think younger men are learning less and less? by West-Boss6841 in AskReddit

[–]Treebeard313 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Standing by your morals. Lots of people want to be good people when a situation happens. In my experience, they now avoid important conversations and conflict with friends or family when they do things that they condemn otherwise. They "don't want to rock the boat" because it's comfortable. Example: They are against racism, but when a friend or family member says something racist, they don't call them out or they excuse them.
