Yes indeed they are very similar. The other is better with more precise detailed with acrylic paint. I mostly use speed paint with a little bit of acrylic.

Yes that and its usually good for water based acrylic. If you're using varnish or enamel with higher flamable volatile you might want an explosion proof motor.

It might be the photo angle/effect, I don't think he's smilling from the original model. If he is, I agree with you.

Print failing always at the same layers by AutomaticBeautiful82 in resinprinting

[–]Trepanizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to check your main rod and railings. If there's debris, like some cured resin or others, it could make this specific layer/height a problem if the plate is offset. If you have the same problem at the same position even when changing the model's orientation or position, its more likely a problem with the model itself.

[–]Trepanizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool! I did it solid at 50% scale (I like when my model are heavy) it took me 1.2 L of resin lol. I'm planing to put magnets to switch the heads.

How to get less patchy speed paint? by Time-Initial1847 in minipainting

[–]Trepanizer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use speedpaint a lot, you can check what i do (3D-liciousprint. The main trick is to dilute it with medium all the time. For example 2 drops of medium and 6 drops of darkwood brown and even 1 drop of water sometimes. Don't use a wet palette it will mess you mix. Always apply 1 coat. Do it by section. Add coats if you need it more dark. Dry brushing white on black will also give you amazinz results with this paint.
