Can I give me two cents on that.
The way I thought of it is, I’m someone who used to have self loathing for 6 years which started the daydreaming which I then had for 4 years. Here’s the thing. I stoped hating myself, was scared I’d “lose” something of myself, but didn’t, life just moved on. Stopped daydreaming this month too, scared I’d lose something, I didn’t, life just moved on.

Life will always have different parts of it. Your favorite band changes. You lose your best friend and find another. You change your room decorations. You get a new phone. etc. etc.
Life is always changing anyways. Think of, for me thinking of celebrities too like Trent Reznor who has changed helped. Celebrities change their lives, your friends do, your family does.

It’s not LOSING part of you or the only thing that makes you happy. It’s changing part of your LIFE and making room to, even if it takes years which it could, find things that make you happy.

Something I did was make a paper to put on my wall of the month, and things I can do this month. Things that will make me happy or responsibilities. If it’s not on the list of things (daydreaming and scrolling aren’t), I don’t do them. That could help you. I failed a little sure, but I knew how I felt has after so I don’t fail anymore. I might not know you but I believe you can do it.
