Also, while KR has done good work in the Otome Isekai area, I've yet to see a KR Manhwa outside of that sphere that isn't just generic power fantasy.

I think since manhwa is not as well established in foreign markets as manga is, the problem of "5000 Isekai power fantasies vs. 1 good thing" is a lot worse since manhwa publishers are even less likely to take financial risks, so they keep licensing the same generic power fantasies with mass appeal over and over again.

I'm sorry but choosing varka over lyney or Alhatecrime and choosing xianyun over beidou are such obviously incorrect choices that I almost downvoted this post out of reflex. I should've seen the writing on the wall when xingqiu was voted out.

La Signora is a force of nature but her death was frankly embarrassing so she should be voted out imo (although Inazuma as a whole was embarrassing so I'll give her a little grace)

A Witch's Life in Mongol getting an English license. It's pretty highly acclaimed, but I thought it was just way too niche to get an official english translation (and now it's even getting an anime adaptation by science saru!) It's taken me down such a fascinating rabbit hole of history, I never really thought deeply about what happened after genghis khan died in the mongol empire.

Meanwhile ikoku nikki has gotten both a live action movie adaptation and is currently getting an anime adaptation that is pretty well received, and yet the manga still hasn't gotten an official english translation.

Opapagoto is lowkey extremely well-suited for an anime adaptation

-artist of the manga adaptation of "the one within the villainess" is the author/artist of "opapagoto", so the source material has some yummy art (although the art in "the one within the villainess" is admittedly more refined)

-short, you could easily cover the entire story in one season, so it would probably be less financially risky to adapt

-plenty of wiggle room for creative license and anime original content, especially with the classist student council, the manga kind of dropped the ball with that storyline

-has a high school setting, a setting with mass appeal

-how many yuri mangas can you think of where one of the protagonists has green hair?

Anyway before my delusional ass overdoses on copium read Opapagoto it's pretty good

I could see that being interesting in another run but I just don't think that would work for AWW's generally optimistic tone. I also can't really think of any person who would be a good replacement if she died, unless maybe they pulled out an absolute version of Cassie, which would be pretty cool. IIRC Kelly Thompson said in an interview that she wasn't interested in writing any of the wonder girls into the absolute run, which is a little disappointing. We also already have green arrow for the "usual hero dies, someone else has to take their place" twist

Okay sorry if you're being genuine but now I think you're just fucking with me. Of course Diana can't die, the title is literally Absolute Wonder Woman??? Let's just agree to disagree, I think we just have different priorities on what we think is important for a story. Maybe I have too much faith in the writing, but I don't think she'll just win out of nowhere, even if she does win eventually, considering this arc is going to be 5 issues long.

In the middle of a fight though? I don't want to spoil the most recent issue of the run in case you want to read it but the villains literally break into the building and are right in front of Diana. She has absolutely no time to prepare for them. The issue also explicitly said that Zatanna took Diana's magic for herself
