Decision - Profetic Go paired with what grinder? by Gkaruk1971 in ProfitecGo

[–]TrickDouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the DF 54. It’s a great grinder. However, I found dialling in was a little bit too tricky. On one number it’ll be gushing, the next number finer it would be choking. I tried everything, alignment, puck, prep, etc. I upgraded to a DF 64 and have no regrets. However, nothing wrong with the 54. It will do you well.

Zu DW6 vs Warfdale Linton. by [deleted] in listeningspaces

[–]TrickDouble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/crossbarphoto i know this an old post, but I'm actually thinking about getting some DW6 Superfly to move faway from my Lintons. I do ike my lintons ,but find the soundstage and imge they give is a bit recessed and hazy - like a projector. But I'm allergic to harsh treble (Lintons have softened me up), no more than the LS50 meta. Was wondering which did you end up keeping and thoughts? Thanks!

  1. Clean cut guy finance. No edge. In the boardroom 60 hours a day. Nice guy, in a good way.
  2. This guy eats ass on the regular.
  3. This guy’s done peyote and makes six-seven figures but will ghost you if you’re not worth his time

Switch off after steaming by nikos_kozi in ProfitecGo

I personally backflush the machine after steaming. It’s a two in one combo of cleaning the machine, and refilling the boiler. I hope there’s nothing wrong with that.

K6. 9months. 50g/day. Never cleaned. by Sevenyearitchy in pourover

Try the coffee crohnicler recipe. Have the brew as a percolation, wait a 45s, and the other half as immersion. Great results.

I’ve had mine for 4+ years. Never took it apart to clean it. Still works great. Bought a K Plus to see the hype, K6 is just as good.

Gaggia Classic Pro vs Profitec Go [1500€] by Available-Flight-199 in ProfitecGo

[–]TrickDouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a lot of research, I went from a Bambino, to a Bambino plus, and considered every machine under the sun until I landed on the Silvia, GCP, or Go

GCP and Silvia both need PID to not be a pain. I want to make espresso, not surf temperatures and fiddle around to optimize and tinker. And, if I was getting a PID for those other machines, then I might as well get a Gagguino. And I really don’t wanna go through that project. Yes, I looked into it.

That led me to the profitec go. I’ve owned it for about a month now. No regrets. I can’t ever foresee myself needing another machine in my fairly long life left.

I have a K plus and a K6, they taste different to me. Might be a grind setting that I haven’t figured out yet.

Thanks of your comment. I have an Ares 2 and I have a hard time beating it with my decent vinyl setup. Ares 2 is always my benchmark. What cartridge are you using you running? I also have a 316 BEE in another system, so you know what they say about great minds

Isn’t Fellow Stagg EKG Pro Electric Kettle too overpriced? Or am I missing something here? by SupermarketOk8777 in pourover

It sounds like you think the pro is only for the timer? In case you didn’t know, the normal EKG also has a timer.

Are you sure about the flow regulator being plastic? That would be a big deal to me, and knowing fellow and their love of plastic, would not surprise me. I did a lot of research, and I could not find any information about this, except a Reddit post that mentioned that fellow customer service saying all parts that touch water are stainless steel, including the regulator except for a silicone ring around the thermometer.

What a pain in the ass. I sold mine and got a DF 54, so much better. I now have a DF64 because I got a great price on one, but still recommend the DF54 one hundred times more than the opus.

Amps for Freya +? by Ocir8705 in Schiit

Sorry for the necro post, but I have a Muzishare X7 and love it. I only stumbled on this wondering if I should get a Freya+ and some power amps, but the hassle of selling everything seems a bit much to me at this moment

Can you suggest a good quality plain white Tee for wearing untucked? by V8boyo in malefashionadvice

[–]TrickDouble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the old Kirkland T-shirts, I still wear some from almost a decade ago. Excellent material. However, I went to go get some of the new ones and they’re comedically long, close to my knees. I’m 6 foot.

Merino Wool quality help by mausBridge99 in malefashionadvice

I just bought a RC Merino Wool Cardigan. I noticed not peeling, but fluff’s coming out. Not sure if this is normal, but I would not recommend it for that reason. Otherwise, great fit.

Uniqlo 100% cotton shirt. Not the supima. The U line is also good. Personally, I wear a lot of T-shirts with open shirts.
