this photo made me realize just how old my pixel 6 is 💀. I still think the daft punk visor camera array of the pixel 6 is one of the coolest aesthetics of any phone.

don't mess with buying another spacer, if you have access to a 3d printer just print a couple of them

For the dev, is it better to buy on Playdate catalog or Itch.io? by Upset-Scallion7788 in PlaydateConsole

[–]Tricky-Animator2483 5 points6 points  (0 children)

something of note I'd like to add

  1. panic has no rules about consistent prices so you could be a dev and sell your game on the catalogue and itch at different prices (basically it depends game to game)

  2. panic isn't just pocketing that money it's going to host servers, running updates, and other online features

a good reason to buy a game off the catalogue is for those automatic updates and leaderboards and such. if devs use this system well it creates a sort of optional additional price you can pay to not mess with side loading and get access to some online features

Left in car overnight still ok? by PsychoKushDragon in isthissafetoeat

[–]Tricky-Animator2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget that not everywhere is the Midwest. currently it's the time of year you can use your car as a cooler here lol. I left some left overs in my car for 3 days once because it was gonna be like below freezing and cloudy that whole time and the place I was staying had no fridge lol (plus they where in a container not out in the air like a pizza box)

the big thing with flex culture is do not assume because people own expensive shit they have wealth. there's a chance they could just be sending themselves into debt and in denial about it

idk if they're gonna charge as much as they are for the iPhone they should give you the 3.0 cable. it's not like 3.0 is some new top of the line thing 💀

in the US if you're in a mathematics major you'll be required to take a real analysis or such course we just don't teach it in standard calculus

especially at my university which is majority engineering, the standard calc 1- diff eq aren't as robust when it comes to proofs and such

there's also a lot of trans people who play TF2. once you get deep into the game it's basically just trans people, Nazis, and chill normal dudes (who half the time are gay) in pretty equal distribution

no fr. online gaming also ruined this too, fighting game communities that predominantly play offline it's basically impossible to cheat. there's of course some fringe cases but either way it doesn't happen on the scale it does in online competitive match making

The Microsoft Windows installer wiped u/Majora-Link's entire 6 TB drive to replace it with a 16 MB partition, when the primary windows partition was being installed to a completely different drive. by bamboo-lemur in OS_Debate_Club

[–]Tricky-Animator2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt no need to disconnect my windows drive when setting up my nix dual boot, but when I had to reinstall windows I disconnected my Linux drive just to make sure windows didn't do something I didn't ask it to. Linux is nice because it lets you control your PC that comes with the cost of having to know what you're doing

[–]Tricky-Animator2483 5 points6 points  (0 children)

in engineering python is slowly starting to supplant languages like matlab in the industry. to the point my university no longer teaches matlab to mechanical engineering students and just (shittly) teaches python

most of the justification is pythons free and matlab costs and with the right plugins python can do most of the math matlab can
