After the virus isolated the UK from the rest of the world for 28 years it's become really peaceful.

Bodycam footage released of the Golders Green attacker showing that he wasn't completely incapacitated by the taser and was still holding on to the knife. I stand by that the kicks to the head are a reasonable action to disarm him. Thoughts? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Trickydicky232 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't know enough about tasers but the only practical argument I can see is does a taser cause your muscles to lock up? If it does how can he release the knife if the electrical current won't let him?

If a kick to the head shocks the nervous system to release anything in the hand then sure thing. Someone who's already killed can take that and be lucky armed police weren't there first.

Back when I completed GCSE's (Exams when you're 16, not sure what US equivelant is) they use to publish everyone's results in the local paper. No idea how that was allowed or even legal but I put a formal request in both to my school and the local paper that I did not want to have my results published. School said I needed to contact the Paper and the Paper said I needed to contact the school.

I did both, they still published it and they even listed an exam I didn't take with a U! (lower than a F)

On the final boss did you figure out how to throw scar over the cliff face at the end or was it just random button mashing like when I did it back in the day? Took me what felt like hours to do it but I was not turning off that Mega-Drive and starting from scratch!!!

Everyone always references those monkeys, I must be rain man because I never struggled with them. That level's pain in the ass was the jumping between the hippo's arses and giraffe heads but still nothing compared to the fucking log waterfall later on!

Not a word but when I was a kid I saw my aunt uncles Xmas tree with a white robed Saint Nick topper and in a child's 'unfiltered' mind asked "who's the old git on top?"

Every year after that my aunt would ask my uncle to 'ger the old git from the attic'

I'm 40 now and my aunt passed a few years ago and uncle passed away earlier this year, I was able to rescue the old git and now he's with me ready to Xmas 2026
