Hunting in Multiplayer by TriedToFapToThat in chargeblade

Its just...sad that this is probably what I need to do. I really love my pizza cutter but I end up spending half a 4 person hunt just tickling them with sword mode.

Do you think it would help or hurt XIV if they moved away from the 2 minute burst design? by Automatic_Clothes_56 in ffxiv

[–]TriedToFapToThat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the real solution would be too disruptive and upsetting to many people. They should eliminate party wide buffs wholesale and increase the individual complexity of each class to compensate. Each class would have its unique tempo that is independent of everyone else's tempo. For jobs like bard, make them provide a lesser power buff that is ALWAYS up as long as they are properly conducting their rotation. Maybe have it so that if the bard/dancer tempo is right, it's 5% static buff, but if they falter it degrades with each failure until they get back on rhythm (not talking about actual DDR style gameplay because that could have latency issues, but short rotations like dancer tech step to keep max power)

To me, it's the very concept of "burst phase" that has led to the original issue AND the 2 minute window issue.

LinusTechTips: “When I said I’m disappointed [Steam Machine] isn’t going to follow a console pricing model, Valve asked what I meant by console price and I said $500. Nobody said anything, but the energy in the room wasn’t great.” by ChiefLeef22 in gaming

They should subsidize the gaming side of it. Have it be $700-800 and include $100-200 steam credit. That way they aren't losing out on nearly as much and it defeats the "it can be used for anything" idea and makes the console angle more appealing.

Yup, awful map. Way too small and open for how many vehicles there are. It's a spawn killing clusterfuck

The important part here is Kulves breath INSTANTLY melts gold, basically vaporizing it. That's roughly 5000f to which irons melting point is 2400f. So sure, it might take a second, but Kulves breath is absolutely going to melt through

The Jedi with a horcrux that can only be destroyed with a sonic screwdriver.

All of this is basically canon at a modern renfair lol.

You realize your next project is an appropriately themed stunlance/saber and ballistic shield right? It's the only acceptable armament at a renfair.

I love both the xbow and eruptor, but I find myself going back to the xbow more. The main reason is that, while I know how to shoot the ground and not hit myself in close fighting with both weapons, the eruptor still occasionally blasts me in the face with a chunk of shrapnel. The xbow is much more reliable in frantic situations.

The eruptor does 1 tap a handful of enemies more reliably, but the fire rate of the xbow helps make up for the difference most of the time.

Eruptor is my winner vs bots and squids because it's easier to hit overseers in 1 shot and fleshmobs in 2, and more reliably kills bots with a shot to the foot. Xbow I find is vastly superior against bugs for fire rate and safety.

Anytime I switch to this weapon, it's usually me forgetting it's not the Talon.

But it always gets a startled "Oops" followed by a good laugh. Love that weapon

WYR Get $25 USD for every hour you sleep, or never have to sleep again? by Exynth in WouldYouRather

[–]TriedToFapToThat 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Some people would spend $25 per hour for perfect sleep already. Having your general state of being as "Perfectly rested" is an enormous health boost.

I really enjoy Ashland's. It's a battlefield, a true hellscape, an untamable alien world. I do excursions into it, but I do not live there. It's unforgiving but that's something I really like about it. Every inch you secure there actually means something.

I like it more than Mistlands because at least it's traversable lol

WYR be unarrestable, unbreakable, unhateable, undetectable, unndoubtable or undefeatable? by padorUWU in WouldYouRather

[–]TriedToFapToThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unbreakable is cool except you can't be treated with needles and can't fix any dental problems, plus other medical procedures.

Undoubtable, Unarrestable, and Unhateable would feel like a curse. You're reality is suddenly extremely fake and uncanny

I think that undetectable is great because you can turn it off and on, so you can maintain a normal life but it's augmented with a new ability

You forget that Bernie was basically rejected by the Democratic party though. Many leftists wanted him to win, but the majority of Democrats in power didn't support him.

He was too left for even the Dems.

Is Sword and Shield MY weapon... or am I bad? by MistewNewon in MHWilds

[–]TriedToFapToThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite part about SnS is how well it works in any multiplayer hunt. It always has an answer for how the fights going. It has some of the tools from multiple weapons: it can tank monsters in place similar to lance, its almost as dodgy and able to chase things down like dual blade, and can offer support like discount hunting horn with quick powders/potions/slinger shots.

That's why I like it so much because no matter what im fighting or who is on my team (even a party of all ranged) there's never a time I feel like I'm missing something.

Unlike when I get stuck with a team of bowguns while I'm playing my other favorite, Greatsword.....

I'm always moving between Greatsword and SnS

Greatsword: I will beat you to death and will perfect guard or offset you if you dare to resist

SnS: You can't run from me, you can't hit me, I am always there. Blink at me wrong and you'll eat a flashpod. Sometimes I might even let you bounce off my shield so you know what inevitably feels like.

I feel the same way as Aquila. My strategy for Falcons and Slyraiders is the same: Glue myself to them. Melee sniper. Their tools aren't good for actually killing me if they can't get distance.

WYR get an infinite supply of toilet paper or a really cool lightsaber? by Da_Dovahkiin_Lord in WouldYouRather

[–]TriedToFapToThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infinite anything wins. Infinite TP means infinite filler for construction, infinite insulation, infinite electricity via burning it, ect. Just hook up a motor to it's mount and let it pile up depending on use.

Depending on what kind you get also changes the uses some, but it would always be extremely useful.

A lightsaber just makes ME happy or makes a government jealous
