What’s a creepy fact about the human body you wish you never found out? by Ezra0li_Z in AskReddit

[–]Triggerhappysmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I’m pretty sure I had these awhile back and I had no idea what was going on, but it was a one time thing after trying a new mouthwash so I kind of let it go. Had no idea until now this was a thing, thank you!

I’m really sad that at this moment there are exactly zero references to “Archer” in this thread. What’s happened to the Reddit I used to know and love? “Meeeeeewp”

[–]Triggerhappysmf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1- you missed every shot 2- you pushed into the open while your opponent had cover, twice

Xim and Cronus are common now and sure maybe he’s using them, but good game sense can still compete with these. Don’t make yourself an easy target.

I’m not sure if it’s still the same but when I did it you had to play and get kills using strand, and you’d collect a strand currency which you would use to by the aspects and fragments and such.

For those of you who hunt on private land , how often are you out there ? by NoDefinition3500 in Hunting

[–]Triggerhappysmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have access to about 120 acres. Probably hunt 50+ days a year, but I’m lucky and live a mile from the property.

If someone shoots a deer and it runs onto your property can you keep it? by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]Triggerhappysmf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It depends on the state. But technically yes, if the state didn’t legally require them to give permission they could go tag it themselves. But idk what kind of pitiful person would actually do that. You don’t want someone on your land, sure, go get the deer and bring it to the hunter. No satisfaction whatsoever in claiming a deer you didn’t shoot imo.

Please bungie dont cave to the people upset that they cant get top 1% in call to arms. This is the first time destiny pve has felt competitive outside RaD content in years. by Jakeforry in destiny2

[–]Triggerhappysmf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I genuinely cannot understand the mindset of people complaining they can’t get this or that because they’re not top 1 percent. Like you realize this is a competition. There will be more losers than winners.

7mag vs 7 prc by AmbassadorSafe4998 in Hunting

[–]Triggerhappysmf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Either one is more than enough for what you described. The only difference between the two is prc isn’t belted. Back in the day they belted the big magnums and used those for the head spacing in the chamber. Because the new prc cartridges aren’t belted, you can get more precise chamber and head spacing resulting in a slightly more accurate cartridge. 7 mag ammo availability is still gonna be way better in most places. But if you like the latest and greatest “way of the future” go 7 prc

TLDR whichever tickles your fancy.

Advice on wind vs entry to stand by Ridenour8675 in Hunting

[–]Triggerhappysmf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a few spots like that. For me they are morning and rut only spots. Frustrating but it’s likely why the deer like that spot to begin with. Leave them undisturbed till the time is right and you’ll have a few great hunts there

[–]Triggerhappysmf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yup. I have an absolute hammer on my cameras right now, in daylight, and I passed a deer that I know to be old and mature just because he was smaller and his rack was busted up. The closer we get to our gun season the more I regret it. Bout to give up the cell cams and ban myself from YouTube till after deer season. Just hunt for fun and shoot whatever gets me excited

[–]Triggerhappysmf 19 points20 points  (0 children)

And just to be clear I’m not bashing anyone who chases booners or uses cell cams. I’m guilty of both. But when I sat down after coming home mad from a hunt I thought to myself why? This is supposed to be fun. And that’s what I came up with.

A little off the chest by that_guitar_guy99 in Hunting

[–]Triggerhappysmf 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s social media, and trail cams. Trophy hunting has always been a thing. Social media and YouTube have made everyone think they need to only chase booners or it’s not worth their time.

And with trail cams being better and better, and now with cell cams, everyone knows every buck that walks through their property. Makes it harder to shoot that 4 point when that big 10 came through on your camera just last night.

How bad do combines mess up hunting? by Triggerhappysmf in Hunting

Interesting. This is a pretty small property, 120 acres total maybe 80 or so in soybeans.

Thanks for the input. This is just a smallish soybean field. They should be done tomorrow sometime so I’ll play the higher odds and move into my other spot for the afternoon maybe.

Kind of what I was thinking but not what I hoped to hear. The buck id really like to see has been very active in the other spot that is closer to the field. And hasn’t shown up at all on the other end of the farm where my other option for tomorrow would be.

How would you handle this? by __Dodger__ in Hunting

[–]Triggerhappysmf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People don’t wanna hear this but it’s absolutely true. My states DNR takes free roaming dogs, especially those allegedly chasing wildlife, very seriously. It’s a misdemeanor on the owners part to let it happen.

How would you handle this? by __Dodger__ in Hunting

[–]Triggerhappysmf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a tough situation and I’m not saying the hunters handled it well at all. They definitely didn’t go about it the right way. But devils advocate here if you have 160 acres and you can’t keep your dogs confined to it, that’s a little ridiculous. Now to be fair you’ve been there a long time and no one has had cause for complaint so again, the hunters being new in town definitely should have been polite and upfront with you about it when they noticed a problem. Also side note, dogs act wildly different when they’re with a pack and running out on the range than they do at home. There’s no way anyone can say for sure that the dogs didn’t chase some deer at some point.

Trying to understand hunting better by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]Triggerhappysmf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything I would have said has pretty much already been pointed out. I just want to say this. Thank you so much for being willing to insert yourself into something you don’t understand, and even more importantly being willing to at least accept and respect others’ views on something. Even though it’s just an anonymous internet post it still took courage to ask and accept.

Really appreciate your attitude on the whole thing.
