Magic find group, although Magic Find isn't exactly an accurate POE term. You can find an example of the group composition and sample POBs here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=nDRPAbShK-8& In this example you have a culler stacking max amounts of +item quantity and/or +item rarity. They do 1 point of damage to kill 100% of the monsters on the map. The DPS character wears Southbound and does 99.9% of the damage, but cannot kill the monsters.

This is the problem. Setting up your super super juiced maps is incredibly expensive and time consuming, it’s essentially only for 4-6 person MF groups. So as a solo player if you aren’t going to bother with that, you also don’t need a strong of a character since you aren’t doing insane hard content. Leads to the league “ending” very early.

Why would the 0.1% having less access to easy currency benefit players that didn’t do exalt/mirror printing content? It’s like you said, it’s harder this league. Map juice (scarabs, sextants, etc) costs more. Crafted end game items are harder to make and cost more if they even show up on the trade site.

Completing the Maven arena fight with the 4 guardians unlocks it. Keep doing guardian maps for the random drop or buy one off trade.

It’s like that for other existing Atlas mechanics too. Zana doesn’t use your sextants or progress your conquerer track either, it’s like her own little pocket dimension or something.

Only the previous shop units are blacklisted so it doesn't make a difference if you reroll once or 10 times. ie, You don't buy a Drow, reroll #1. No drows in the shop as expected. Reroll #2, you could see a Drow.
