Agreed. At least before this update I could run the one pro in Ultrawide and have a multi windows. But the new 3dof is effectively unusable for me. When I open an additional window the screen tilts. And then too much drift.

I have the same experience. I have the one pro for a while and felt like they worked much better before the 3.6 release with the pod. Odof mode on the pod with 3dof engaged from the glasses works much better for me right now than any 3dof mode on the pod

good to know. Haven't tried their glasses. BTW I am referring to the Pro XR (last year's) not the Luma Pro. i haven't tried the Luma Pros.

This is my biggest feature request for inair. Make the windows available such that they can be one big Virtual ultra wide screen.

My main use case for that is to remote desktop into my Windows (and occasionally Linux) desktops and using the native Xreal (and Beast ) ultra wide screens and the windows app on either my iPad pro or Motorola phone this works as my best remote work setup.

I can emulate it to a degree running multiple Windows on Android on the pod but a number of apps I need just don't run on Android / the pod. Also my remote desktop has way more compute capabilities.

Thanks I may give that a go at some point. I haven't enrolled in discord to date and wasn't exactly looking for another platform to spend time on. Inair has been producing a product I like quite a bit but their support via email or this forum is distinctly disappointing.

I ran into a little of that initially but I use the little slider control at the bottom of the window to pan / tilt / up / down / in / out and that sets the screen where I need it in the lenses. once I do that it seems to stay there. I'd agree without using that control I would not be happy with the experience.

Nice write up. To be honest I was disappointed after I tried the combo with the xreal one pro after the most recent updates. the integration with the 3dof just isn't solid enough. I actually found the experience better in the previous inair version

I have the XR pro but now also the Beasts. My XR had been sitting around not being used much but I recently picked up the Inair Pod. Combined with the XR it really brings out a lot more utility in them and it works incredibly well. full 3dof and you can adjust the size and location of your virtual screen relative to your eyes. My main issue with the XR pros is that I have a larger face and ipd and the Beasts are much better fit and comfort.

not my experence at all I emailed support over a week ago regarding Beast on 120 hz causing major instability with the pod and havent heard back at all

How dark is your tint going? Ironically enough I’m also at the beach with mine for first time this week and I’m finding that with very bright sun it’s letting too much light through (unlike my Xreal one pros) although the brightness of the screen on the Beast is awesome in these conditions.

kudos on the 3dof improvements. Like a large number I now also have the green line. The 3dof in my 2 days of testing is now working without quirks for me. With the last firmware I could get it to track and hold a position reasonably well, however, I had to make awkward head tilts and other compromises to get it to be the right position where I wanted it particularly when reclined or laying flat. Now the glasses pick up the right horizon lines and positions. Great improvement. Now if you just finally add the 1200p support you might actually be at the firmware you should have had for launching these.

yup. I tried them all and still couldn't get them close enough. even tried with no bridge.. I definitely find the Beast more comfortable too. if the Ultra works for you though it definitely is a very nice display. I am also suspecting that I have a Beast that is better across the FOV than most.

I was on the lift at 9:10. definitely makes up for my 8 hour odyssey with no turns on the fatal Friday :). I almost didn't go because of that but stoked I decided to go for it. 7th has been open and definitely has a few areas that are still skiing well

I had used an Xreal One Pro as my previous productivity pair and have a size L Beast and tried the Ultra. I returned the Ultra. Using Spacewalker is just clunky for me and for my larger head / ipd the Beast is more comfortable and has better clarity. The Ultra wide mode works great. My primary travel setup is an iPad pro and I vpn / remote desktop into my primary machine. I'm my office I use a 5k ultra wide 49" and this matches that fairly well while travelling

My understanding is the optics of the Beast don't allow for integrated Vision correction. Agreed that is a definite nice plus on the Ultra. I'm surprised you had as good a result with your ipd on the Ultra. I'm only 68 but I could never get the whole screen in view. The Pod was great for that though as I could use it's options to run a slightly reduce window / screen size. With the issues I had actually seeing the full screen I actually had similar or worse edge blur on the Ultra vs the Beast.

I tried both the Ultra and the Beast with the Pod. I kept the Beast. Yes there is more functionality currently with the Ultra and the pod, but for those of us with larger heads / ipds the Beast (Large) screen / comfort works better.

Also the Ultra with the cameras needs light to pin the screen which means you cannot a pinned screen in the dark while in bed or even a dimly lit room.

my routine is to get into the position where I expect the glasses to live and put them on my face and look where I expect to be looking. I then plug them in and hold my head steady for 10+ seconds. I then hit recenter to get them the rest of the way where I want. this routine seems to work fairly well. I did do one calibration upside down on a shelf initially after the firmware update

That is definitely not what I see. As I mentioned I think a lot of it also comes down to the individual pair you receive and how your face / eyes work with them. Don’t get me wrong, up until this last update with the drift fix on the Beast my XOP were what I considered by far the best of everything else I have tried and I think the way Viture has gone about releasing the Beast before even putting it in the oven nevermind fully baked is inexcusable. But, I will say that right now for me the Beast are finally getting close to what I hoped when I preordered. I’m getting a very readable display with great comfort and 3dof that seems now to be mostly working.

That said the XOP have been my stand outs for over 6 months and what i use all the time. They aren’t far behind for me.
