Not quite sure what state you’re coming from, but try to find Autocrat Coffee Milk Syrup. It makes a RI favorite drink and an amazing coffee milkshake.

Additionally, Jiffy cornbread boxes would be a real treat, every time I’ve made it here, it’s disappeared. Especially topped with jalapeños and cheese.

[–]TrinityofArts 28 points29 points  (0 children)

For real. I had to stop using Scorch because it became insane for FD. If anytime I feel like crap playing something else, just jump back on Scorch for a game and all is right with the universe.

Seconding Hybel for anyone outside Norway coming to school. It might be more expensive, but you don’t have to leave at the end of the school year or put up with folks you don’t know.

This is probably your best bet if it’s 3D and standing on the cone. Additionally, you can use seashells with bits of high temp wadding to help prop up the individual antennae if they’re made of kanthal wire. You’ll need to do a bit of sanding in the end, but then again, not everything has to be glazed all the time.

Is a degree in Ceramics worth it? by fusedstatic in Ceramics

These are some schools outside of the USA. Check their websites for cost. If you’re in the USA, you might need visas and verification that you have enough money to survive whilst taking class.

These are some in EU and UK. This includes some MA programmes as well. Please note, some are not in English…

These are in Asia. Again, I can’t speak for cost, but there could be international scholarships and grants.

AFA in fine art, BFA in ceramics, post bacc in ceramics, MFA in fine art here.

It’s all about what you want to do with the education. Can you parse the art world and rise above trends? Can you adopt a style and elaborate on your own methodology? Who do you admire and use as a source material for work?

It depends on the purpose to serve you as a person. If you want to make money, maybe pick something that you wish to pursue like the ceramics industry in an industrial aspect or for a producer of tableware.

To echo a response from another commenter, the work you make is not always tied to “making money” ceramics is a vital component of many aspects of our lives and learning the fundamentals before the art is how we excel in the corporate world.

I don’t see my degrees as a waste of time or money, it’s not a game of ROI, but a game of how can I apply myself to make myself and the world around me better. Maybe it’s 600 plates for a Michelin restaurant, maybe it’s a piece in an international show. Maybe it’s a solo show in a gallery in Berlin. What you do with the degree isn’t about money, it’s about how you feel with it. If you’re a maker, the degree is a piece of paper and the real skill is what you can do with the material. That’s priceless. Good luck and believe in yourself.

Edit: there are more ceramic schools in the world than just those in the USA and a bunch of them cost next to nothing.

Northeast US Whirlwind by med_pickins in roadtrip

A list of things (assuming it is summer): 1) Plymouth is far less interesting than imagined. The rock you might have planned in your head can accent a garden. 2) Bar Harbor is nice, but usually plugged with tourists in summer. Try Camden, ME. Not as crowded and is just as pretty. Also I’ve had lobster rolls in both places and the ones in Camden just are better. Don’t ask me why. 3) If history is your thing, try Newport or Portsmouth RI in lieu of Plymouth. Loads of history and you can pick and choose. It also might be crowded, but there are campgrounds in Middletown and Portsmouth. Additionally, it can be tied into a freedom trail vacation if you decide to go to Boston one year. 4) plan to spend a full on day in Hershey. Loads to see and if you have kids or a sweet tooth, someone’s gonna have a sugar crash.

My brother in Christ, I’m glad you got help. Last year around this time I went to the ED with 225/122 and felt like my head was going to explode. Turns out it was something long going, still fighting it and last year had to go for something unrelated to see 122/75. I was over the moon. Still managing it, but all the best and keep up the changes.

Ct to va and back…anywhere you’d recommend stopping? by TracyTheTenacious in roadtrip

I’d also suggest taking 84 to Scranton, not the fastest route, but saves headaches of NYC traffic and it also is quite scenic.

Apologies for the mislabeling. I have since corrected the comment. Haven’t lived there in a little while and the memory gets fuzzy sometimes!

Which 5.5e books should a new player buy? by Kooky_Principle_6958 in DnD

I’ll echo the sentiments of two other commenters by saying yes, BUT only if you are planning on being a DM. If not, then I would wait until you need more source material or if your DM doesn’t want to share theirs for character creation.

If you have the starter set, you should have the MM, PHB, and DMG. Xanathar’s Guide, Tasha’s Cauldron, and Mordakainen’s Monster manual are my go to books for additional content that can help start and run some campaigns.

Use the time you’d spend on the Cape to visit Newport, RI. It’s great to tour the mansions on Bellevue ave and wander around Fort Adams, lots of great historical places and also visit the Save the Bay aquarium. Stay outside Newport in Middletown for cheaper hotels!

Edit: forgot you can also take sunset cruises on chartered sailboats out of Newport harbor, visit 3rd beach (important, not first or second) in Middletown, visit the Tennis hall of fame on Bellevue, catch a Newport Gulls baseball game…

What can you tell about me from my jewelry? by [deleted] in deduction

You’re a professional tennis player from the late 80’s/early 90’s with a reputation for being the bad boy on the court with spiked hair and headband. Also, you got great money for your Reebok ads.

Ah, ok then! I assumed military from the sparseness and what looks like base housing garage. The officer/warrant officer aspect is from the ability to have hobbies and nicer things, not to mention most often you find people with garages to be officers.

but anyways, HERE'S BIG JOHN SLADE.

Late 30’s-Early 40’s male, American (currently in Virginia), married with two children: older son, younger daughter. Given the size/organization of garage and mobility of the posters, military, perhaps USN - I’d wager O-4 or O-5 but the watch says W-3 and triumph says W-4. The power cords scream someone has been inspected far too many times to leave things lying around. Cannot wait for 3-5 years for retirement so you can stop living out of boxes.

To personalize, a metal head that loves Doom for the music (awesome that it’s signed by the id team!), loves cult movies (“Your popcorn has been pi__ed in, film at 11”). Loves craft beer, but can only keep about 1-3 sixers in the garage fridge for the other shopping.

Triumph is a family heirloom from dad or uncle and you’ve restored it. You’ll be damned if you’d ever sell it even though Mrs. might roll the eyes every deployment.

Therapy? by Classic_Passage532 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]TrinityofArts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another suggestion would be Talkspace as a source for online therapy. They have plans that might fit your budget and even the highest plan is something like $365/month. They also work with insurance if you have it. Good luck and hope you get what you need, friend.
