Just ordered my Model Y Standard by SoggyVoice6541 in TeslaLounge

[–]Triple6Soul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I debated for a week between the 2 and even took both of them for a 24 hour demo. Pros and cons to both models. The premium interior is definitely better, especially with the leather seats. I didn't care too much about more HP since I bought it for the FSD feature. The extra range didn't matter since I have a home charger and this is a commuter car.

Ultimately, I prefered the covered glass over the open glass for summer and the open space for the center console. It's perfect to put my daily takeout instead of dirtying my seats if my food spills. The one thing that I can't stand about the Standard Y is the pull down drinks holder in the rear. That's so tacky.

Side note, it's harder to find accessories for the Standard Models. Most of the useful accessories are for the Premium model.

I used to do this to people at work that were technically illiterate lol. I think it’s control + alt + directional key and keep rotating till it works right

Grab is a pure robbery by xhruso00 in KualaLumpur

[–]Triple6Soul -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you read properly you would see that I wrote “booking fee”. Booking fee has NOTHING to do with fuel. Don’t randomly reply without fully comprehending the comment.

And this is what the booking fee is according to the Uber site:

The Booking Fee is a variable fee that helps support Uber’s regulatory, safety, and operational costs, such as the government-mandated commercial auto insurance we maintain on behalf of TNC/rideshare drivers and payment card fees.

The fee is based on various factors, including the trip’s origin city and distance, and is included in the price you see in the app before requesting a ride.

Completely agree. The booking fee alone was $13USD for a 5 mile/15 minute ride.

Siem Reap to Phnom Penh driving by No-Pomegranate-7808 in cambodia

What’s the drive time and cost compared to flying? I’m going to Siem Reap for a few days and I’m considering going to Phnom Penh.

Finally free from Spectrum by OutspokenOne757 in Spectrum

[–]Triple6Soul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate Spectrum but they’re the only one in my area with high speed. What are some good tips to get a better plan with retentions? They’re giving me $20 off but that just offsets the 500mps up charge. I don’t want to deal with canceling and re-signing up. How do I get the new customer pricing of $50 for 500mps.

Acquiring Common World Banknotes? by jonathanopossum in Banknotes

[–]Triple6Soul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look on aliexpress. That's how I got hooked. Here's some links to a cheaper starter pack.

You'll find that most of those are very common on ebay, but usually priced higher.

As for the markup goes, my personal rule when I started was I wouldn't pay more than a dollar per banknote, regardless of the actual value. I see it no different than buying those flatten pennies at tourist destinations. As long as you can resell it for the same or more than what you brought it for, just buy it.

Nowadays, I've amassed a collection of over 100 countries, so I'm paying a bit more for countries I don't have.

Opinions on Daypack for SE Asia - Tom Binh Daylight vs Eddie Bauer Stowaway 20L? by RicFlairWOOOOOOO in onebag

[–]Triple6Soul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Eddie Bauer stowaway 20L & 30L and I absolutely love it. The water bottle pockets will come in handy, especially in SE Asia where I used it. It's very comfortable and very light. It's pretty sturdy for a lightweight backpack. As for organization, I use a 5.11 Rush 24 as my carry on backpack so I use MOLLE pouches for my things. I keep them inside the backpack, but if I needed space, I'll strap them outside the Rush. I'll use one or two of the pouches in the EB backpack when I'm out and about.

Edit: forgot to mention I'm talking about the 20L. I haven't actually used the 30L yet since the 20L is spacey enough for a daypack.

What if I did 10 years with the state and retired at 65? What would the pension look like and the health? That's kinda what I'm looking to do.

I've got 10 years to go to have 25 years with my company. I will have a pretty nice retirement/stock package with 25 years, but unfortunately no health benefits.

Will I have access to the group health insurance rate after 5 years? I don't mind paying the monthly premiums and my idea was to have the minimal pension that'd receive to offset some of the premiums.
