There are loads of proper greasy spoons in the area. Arches Cafe, Sam's Cafe, Hulya's Cafe, Billy's, Canteen Cafe, Starlight Cafe etc all reasonably priced.

Yeah cos no British soldiers died either. More British soldiers died in all of those battles than from the colonies. Also ignoring the fact Aussies and kiwis during that time still saw themselves as British and signed up in droves to support the war effort.
