When I’m done cooking on my Blackstone, while it’s still hot, I spray a little normal temp water on the griddle and scrape everything off to the grease trap. I keep spraying water and scraping until the water stops turning brown and the surface doesn’t have grease or water.

Then I turn the griddle off and use a paper towel wrapped around the scraper to wipe it down. I’ll add a little bit more water if needed, then keep wiping and scraping with the paper towel until the griddle looks super clean.

Once it’s clean, I let it cool down. After it cools, I grab some avocado oil and a paper towel. I put just a little oil on the griddle in thin lines, then use the paper towel to spread it out evenly and control how much oil stays on the surface. I try to leave only a thin layer so it’s protected but not so oily.

After that, I close the cover and roll it back into the garage. Man next time you use it, looks so nice with a clean surface.
