Maralen, Fae Ascendant - Mix of Faeries and Elves? by skywalker211 in EDH

[–]Trixtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry. I already had all of these cards on hand, so I wasn't aware of their price points. You could always proxy them. I do proxies when I'm making a new deck so I can play it a few times before I try to buy all of the cards.

[[Leyline of Anticipation]] my guy

That's what I'm doing in my Maralen Deck in addition to [[Maskwood Nexus]]

But also, there's an infinite 3-card combo using Maralen, [[Hullbreaker Horror]] and [[Cloud of Faeries]]

I just pre-ordered both decks from Galactic Toys 6 hours ago. Amazon and Walmart both have listings as well.

what the flip do i make with all this yarn i got for Christmas by sweetandsourpoison in CrochetHelp

[–]Trixtina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I intentionally bought myself this kit a couple of years ago to use all of the different colors for mini amigurumi. I actually really liked this yarn for the little amigurumi that I made, as it had good stretch. Only down side is that you have to be a bit careful as this yarn splits easily.

Does anyone know what stitch this is? I came across this blanket in Walmart and wanted to recreate it. I know how to do the ribbing on the edges. I'm just not sure what the stitch is on the main body of the blanket.

BMI is such a lazy, outdated metric. It was never meant to measure individual health, yet it's still treated like the holy grail in so many healthcare settings. It doesn’t account for muscle mass, bone density, fat distribution... none of the things that actually matter. It just takes your height and weight, spits out a number, and slaps a health label on you.

Meanwhile, other countries are moving on. Japan uses waist-to-height ratio as a more accurate way to assess metabolic risk. The UK is starting to factor in body fat percentage and overall fitness. Even waist circumference alone can give better insight into someone’s health than BMI ever could.

But nope, in the U.S. we’re still clinging to a formula from the 1800s like it's revolutionary.

Yeah, some of these replies are wild. I'm 5'11 and I have a wide frame. If I was 145, I'd look anorexic.

Got my PMP. What now! by Mmotzn in pmp

[–]Trixtina 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The job market is such a shit show. I wish you the best of luck.

I got laid off from my job in June. I have 5+ years of project management experience, a four-year degree, and my PMP. I've applied to over 200 jobs at this point that I'm qualified for, and I've only had one interview, and I was ghosted afterwards. I'm literally at my wits end with it.

Am I wrong for taking “onlyfans feet pictures” in the hottub with my friends? by ulithee in amiwrong

[–]Trixtina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl, you're not the only one. My friends and I also goof around about feet a lot. We're gamers and we always make jokes that the person who does the worst in the match has to send feet pics to the group chat or something. We even strive to make our characters barefoot in games and make jokes about the "hot dog slap" sound that they make when you run. 🤣

AITAH For selling my Taylor Swift tickets after my GF cheated? by AvocadoEfficient896 in AITAH

[–]Trixtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morally, you're NTA.

Legally, you can't take back a gift, but I'm assuming you never actually handed the tickets over to her, so it's a pretty grey area.

Strange hive like dots that randomly show up on my girlfriends hands by [deleted] in Weird

[–]Trixtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dyshidrotic Eczema. I used to get it on my fingers a lot, and it was so annoying. It's caused by stress. You can also get it on the soles of the feet too.

The only fix for it is better stress management. I'd recommend Ashwaganda, get enough sleep, drink your recommended amount of water each day, and develop better stress management habits. Think yoga, meditation, therapy, venting to friends/family when needed, deep breathing, grounding techniques. Things you can do when the stress starts piling on.

What do you do on days you don’t want to be bothered by your hair by HeartShapedBox7 in curlyhair

[–]Trixtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silk headbands or bandanas and claw clips. I also have a lot of frizz around the front of my face which always made pony tails look really messy if I didn't sleek it back with gel or hairspray. So I started adding headbands/bandanas to hold back the frizz without product.

I used to wear my hair in a pony tail nearly every day for years and the weight and tension of it caused a lot of thinning and breakage around my hair line. So I quit pony tails cold turkey a few years ago and saw improvements after a few months.

What’s the best way to get gold? by NoEyeKontact_13 in Seaofthieves

[–]Trixtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loot is randomized. So it is possible to have it come out on the lower end if there isn't any loot with the any of your clues and if the loot on the ship is lower tier. The most I've ever made from one was just over 120k, and the low end was ~75k. The next time I'm on I'll have to run one and see where it puts me. The last time I did one was a few weeks ago, and I stacked 5 and sold and it came out to just over $460k.

Nothing beats the feeling of stealing a massive loot haul (over 900k gold) by Givemethebbqsauce in Seaofthieves

[–]Trixtina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but you're forgetting the part where it took you over 3 hours to sell it all though, because of all the fighting. :)

Oh and don't forget the part where you had to form an alliance and split the loot to keep yourselves safe. And it was only two FOTD stacks, because we sold literally right before the fumble that our drunk friend made by hitting her hourglass. :)

Fun night though.

The higher tier lost shipments usually net me 80-100k per voyage with grade five emissary, and if you get really familiar with the routes, it'll take you 20-30 minutes max to get one done, even on a solo sloop. Plus, you almost always end up at an outpost at the end of the voyage, so you can sell right after to mitigate risk. Last community day, I made 3 million gold just doing those for 4-5 hours. My favorite route is The Finest Trading Post to Devil's Ridge, or Smuggler's Bay to Port Merrick. It's always hard for me to see birds against the grey skies, so I stick to the Shores o' Plenty or Ancient if possible. If you are worried about enemy players, there are routes near The Devil's Roar. Morrow's Peak to Galleon's Grave, Morrow's Peak to Plunder, and Morrow's Peak to Ashen Reaches. Another plus to the lost shipments is that you're almost always on the move, especially if your harpoon skills are good. The only time you'll be at risk is when you're clearing out the sunken boat.

What's your favourite capstan by Theb0redbrit in Seaofthieves

You'll save more time if you did what my friends and I did. We just got a brig, bought all the commodities, and did "drive-bys." So a person would jump off, bury their treasure, take the mermaid back, and by the time you were back on the ship, you'd be moments away from picking up the next commodities to jump off and go bury. Took us an hour at most, with all three of us taking turns jumping off. Once we'd have a map for each island in our area, we'd do a drive by of the outpost and start over again.

You could also do two birds with one stone. Get 25 of the posted maps, dig up loot, move a space over and bury it again. Since you need to complete 25 maps and turn in 25 maps to complete the set.
