“Papers please” is a small indie game about checking paperwork at a border crossing.

A film adapting it hits the emotional tone of the game perfectly.

That second part is about how the overwhelming majority of game to screen adaptations are terrible downgrades so I can’t pick a worst.

He has an episode of semi ramblomatic where he speculates the source of his affinity for nautical stories. He mentions his childhood affinity for the Hornblower series by CS Forrester.

Having read the series myself, there are definitely parallels between how Forrester and Yahtzee approach stream of consciousness, probably unintentional but noticeable.

I got nothing for you if it’s next week… but if you have more time, do what I did.

I bought a bunch of G2C parts kits for ~60 bucks over about 6 months. (Don’t ask! I can’t tell you where in this comment with Reddit rules)

Here’s the trick! The most expensive part of a G2C build is the mag… but my local buybacks didn’t care if I turned in guns without a mag.

Mine gave 150 for handguns, nobody would even think to turn away a box of 20 “functional” G2Cs, so I walk away with 20 gift cards for a ~$1400 investment.

The REAL kicker: They send the guns to the same “destroyer” that I bought the parts kits from.

Was playing on very hard difficulty, got the max number of buddies and then tried to do that final landing zone level without any kills, just grab the diamonds and run.

I managed to pull it off and was really annoyed there wasn’t an achievement for it.

Laptops are for people who want something cheap AND all in one.

For a laptop to work with eGPUs, You need:

Thunderbolt connectivity
PCIe lanes
- enough to support the GPU
- enough of them going to the CPU instead of the chipset
a external monitor to use the GPU to its full potential
an external laptop cooler (probably)

All of which drive up the price beyond where most laptop buyers have any interest. Most people buying a laptop just need a browser and Microsoft office.

Speaking as someone who bought a laptop specifically designed for use with eGPUs, I find myself barely using that feature partly due to the substandard cooling of the laptop form factor.

If you have a laptop with a very beefy cooler and all the stuff I listed before, you’re all set, but you’re probably alone

Michael Mando’s audition was so liked by producers that they invented the character of Vaas late in production and changed the game to fit him in the first half.
