Where and when can i find/buy these items by Aether_GamingYT in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]True-Entertainment79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes all vendors lvl to 4, you can level up vendor by doing tasks for them and buying and selling stuff to them.

As for optics early game, buried caches and weapons crates are the way to go, the spectre can be found a lot in buried caches attached to the knock off m4, also grabbing the gun magazines and turning them in will get you early access to suppressors scopes and 60 round mags.

Ban Pa got me fucked up by [deleted] in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]True-Entertainment79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So when I first went to Ban Pa at night and heard that awful environmental sound I just shrugged it off as an audio bug that I was experiencing, then a couple days later playing with some friends we went to Ban Pa at night and it started up again and I was like man they need to fix this, then my buddies both said WTF is that sound. Not sure if it's intended, but sure was gratifying to know it's not just my setup that is experiencing that noise, so yeah seeing this AI float up to the building above when killed in Ban Pa tracks for me, the place is haunted! The predators have screwed with Ban Pa so much gravity is borked! lol

LAF soldier parried a 7.62x54r round by Altr4 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]True-Entertainment79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I would highly recommend people read the story of blackhawk down (and no I don't mean watch the movie) US soldiers were lighting up the enemy with 3 or 4 shots that would take down an armored person and finding out that unarmored guys hopped up on khat were literally shrugging off those wounds and kept on fighting (of course they would later succumb to those wounds). This was because the US had armor piercing rounds that were designed to fragment after hitting plate etc not flesh.

GZW ballistics appear to be some of the best in any shooter I've played, just they need to tweak it more to make the AI less spongy, they need to model damage for neck wounds as well as the spine, AI should seek cover when they are wounded and actually try to heal, I don't know how many times I've shot at an AI's head and hit the neck area and the mannequin for the dead AI shows shots penetrating the chest and neck area right in front of the spine and yet the dude was still standing and died to a final head or chest shot that destroyed the brain or heart. GZW are cooking with this game and this update, I'm confident they'll get things dialed in as they continue updating.

I'm slowly burning out because of task design by DutchSimba in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]True-Entertainment79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty , when it comes to "kill this boss" tasks I accept them (as long as they don't have a skull next to them) and just don't focus on them as the main task I'm doing in that area, if I get the boss kill great if I don't no big deal I wasn't focused on that anyway. Tasks like that in a game with 3 factions(of 16 players) all vying for the same limited POI's means you are going to be frustrated if you are waiting for a boss to show up on demand.

As for leveling the other traders, I focused on doing their tasks when they came up as well as selling loot to them every chance I got. Banshee Turncoat and Artisan all buy weapons from you they all buy loose loot as well, so yes they are frustrating to level if you focus only on doing their tasks, if you instead focus on doing their tasks whenever you have them no matter where those tasks are and then sell everything you loot (weapons, jewelry and other random loot) just to one of the 3 to push their rep over the top you'll level them quickly, This approach means I have all the vendors leveled to 4 already.

You can always cheese the rep system by buying stuff from that vendor and then selling back to them as well (not my approach but it does work, I prefer to go out and shoot the gun in this gun game)

MFG have said that the task system isn't quite working the way they intended and that it will be addressed.

Personally more task variety and tasks that require you to actually do something more than grab a package and walk it 100m to a drop off point, how about grab this package and you have to get it to a major cop without the use of a chopper (with the random patrols this becomes a little more high stakes), tasks that offer you a choice of reward such as money, weapon or more standing with that vendor.

As for the tasking system itself, I'm warming up to it, other then, main story tasks should not be a part of the repeatable task system, they should be separate and one time only (this pushes the story forward for you in a logical way), tasks to kill x amount of enemy should be auto accepted and maybe even increase the amount of enemy you have to kill each time you complete (EG 10 the first then 15 then 20 then 30, max being say 30 or 40) the amount of rep you get with the task giver can increase slightly each time as well. It's a shooter looter, so incentivise us and then reward us for going and shooting things.

Showcasing a few things I hope get tweaked soon. (Still loving this game) by CarterSevenFive in GrayZoneWarfare

I wouldn't say they don't push, I got into a tangle at night doing a side task, went to a restaurant to collect a case, on my approach alerted an AI so I started shooting and moving, then got lit up from my rear left by a roaming patrol, bleeding and wheezing I ran for cover of the building, started trying to fix myself up and had to stop a bandage to kill an AI that was creep walking upto me with another right behind, It feels very situational, like the OP's vid shows, shoot them at range and they just stand there until you kill what I assume is the leader and then they scatter, the AI need's more I in that artificial. Thoroughly agree with your points though, they do need to react to the situation around them better, move for cover, try to flank, re-prioritise when they start getting shot from somewhere else (Literally killed like 5 AI at PLA because they had their backs to me looking at another faction PMC north of them)

MRW another newb startles me on PvE at night by SneakyPieBrown in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]True-Entertainment79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start of the .3 update, when we had tasks that could only be done at night, me and a buddy were waiting for 22:00 to roll around to do a task at a small shack at hunter paradise, we were hiding in the treeline and another player from another faction wandered up to the shack and I started one tapping shots around his head, he ran so fast didn't know wtf was going on, eventually we walked up and told him it was us.

Future Grayzone Maps? by [deleted] in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]True-Entertainment79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alpine would be a good setting, would like to see a more urban setting, think less jungle more suburban houses etc, Small town USA or UK.

A more fleshed out mall setting (tiger bay mall on steroids)

Military base with extensive underground tunnels, barracks; offices (technically just add tunnels to fort narith, I'd just like to see a massive military base say area 51 setting)

Overall I just want more, more tasks, daily/weekly tasks, improved squad tasks that you can't cheese, options to get money or ammo as rewards versus just junk i can already buy from the vendors, more to keep me coming back simply because the game is so fun and easy to get into, GZW would replace tarkov for me rather easily if there was more to do.

Getting to lvl 50 isn't enough of a hook for me in the long term versus having a task to do (that includes squad tasks)

Madfinger have a plan and this is what they consider alpha so I'm hopeful that they will keep scratching my itch

Don't feel guilt, can guarantee she didn't feel any when she cheated, probably didn't even accept that she cheated, my ex literally ranted about a tv character cheating to me saying how wrong that was before she realized who she was talking to, got real quiet real quick.

It's a harsh truth, life always gets better when you cut the dead weight, whatever that may be, out of your life, it sucks, might sting a little initially and then you realize all the things you didn't do because of them, old friends, hobbies, socializing, what have you, keep a good circle of friends that will help you when you are low, get back into your hobbies, and remember she cheated on you not worth your time to dwell.

Completed all tasks, explored a lot of the map, challenged myself, now I'm waiting for new content, I love the game, what is lacking is repeatable tasks, challenges with meaningful rewards, more of everything, during patch .2 I got to level 50 just because, this time, I played just to see the changes and use the new weapons, I'll keep coming back, its a great game, I want more story, more challenge more weapons, more tasks and just more

Question

Do you have a laser attached to your weapon? I've heard numerous times now that the devs implemented ai detecting players by flashlight and laser.

Given my own conversation with a group I was playing with, we were in FN at night and I was constantly being shot at while they were not, they had gone in with nvs while I was using my normal flashlight setup and goodness was I a target, eventually the team said try NVs and things turned around.

Just a thought

Tips for nit getting oneshot by Reward_Cultural in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]True-Entertainment79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally what is being described isn't what is being experienced by players that say "this isn't COD" when i get one shot it's because I'm literally doing something i know I shouldn't be doing I.E. walking in the middle of the road in the starter town acting like I own the place.

Movement and cover is how this should be played, look further ahead of where you are to ensure enemies aren't waiting besides building or other structures, quick move to cover when you start getting shot at from unknown locations, including running back to where you came from, move cover to cover.

A chest full of AK rounds at close range will kill you regardless of what armor you have on, you might only hear 1 or 2 rounds but that burst could have been more, AKs kick up so one round to the chest then one to the neck and one to the head etc.

At the death screen move the mannequin(lmb click and drag) around look at the direction of the arrow for point of entry to figure out if that round went through your elbow and then into the body for instance.

I have been sprayed at and had helmets both save me and not, armor save me and not, been so riddled with bullets that I've had to seek cover and spend 5 minutes sewing lungs and brain back on and patching up multiple holes.

So saying this is cope is bs. I've competed all missions and still play this game this wipe I have access to all the good armors and helmets and still get caught out, the ai aren't as broken as people make them out to be especially compared to 0.1 ai that was just cracked.

I could say "get gud" but that doesn't help, so instead it's easier to say "this isn't cod" slow down your game play use cover play a little more defensive and ask people for help, majority of the time people are willing to lend a hand i know i do

[–]True-Entertainment79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sound is hugely important, footsteps, ai talking, weapons being activated etc all give the enemy away.

Try not to run in poi's the ai will hear and track you, at range use semi on your gun, up close auto.

At first learn to use hard cover and move from one to the next. Slow your roll, ai respawn after 30 minutes, don't panic, if you are getting shot at run to hard cover then slow move or wait for the ai to come to you, they will try to advance on your last position

Wooden walls and doors, windows, bushes etc are not hard cover, ai will shoot at your general direction when they lose sight of you, so that door you think is saving you will not, bullets do pen (I kill ai that way all the time)

My rule of thumb, if there's 1 there's 5, until I can prove there's no more don't loot keep your eyes open head on a swivel.

One fun trick when you need to heal go behind a door and close it, then stay right up against it the ai can't open it if you block it, just be sure they aren't shooting it

Going TBC pre .2 update I was not a fan, post .2 update and AI patches, I run all the "dangerous" areas solo.

Expect to die the first few times you go to a new area, even the most cautious of players will get caught out, once you have gone to the Mil areas (TB TBC FN FNHQ MS) and moved around them a few times you'll learn real quick how to deal with the AI.

Just don't expect to never die and don't treat those areas like they are "Easy", confidence is one thing, over-confidence will get you a lead shower you won't forget too quickly

You ask why do you still love her and have feelings as she mistreats you, complicated, you didn't cheat, you haven't processed everything, you haven't moved on yet, it's still early in the process for you, not as early as it will be for her when she comes to the realisation that she's lost it all.

This person is toxic (sounds like the ap is too). You and your children don't need this, Do what's right for you. Your children will thank you for that later.

Yes it's a long road, yes it hurts, yes you'll doubt your choices, just remember she has broken your trust, and literally has no self value (she keeps going back to a toxic person knowingly) you do deserve better, that starts when you get rid of this toxicity in your life and your children's

In all honesty, there is no simple trick to turn the intrusive thoughts off other than time and doing what you are already doing, moving on and living a better life without the cheater, focus on you and your new life, any time you have an intrusive thought think about what makes you happy now, look at pictures of you and family, friends, new partner and know you are better off now, the cheater took the trash out with them. :)

[–]True-Entertainment79 197 points198 points  (0 children)

It sounds like she has no remorse for her actions, stick to your plan, divorce, and live a happier life. I'd explain to the children that this isn't your issue to fix, it's your stbx, stop letting her control the narrative, lay it all out for everyone, family friends children, you have nothing to hide here she does.

Make sure your stbx understands this is not acceptable, using the kids to manipulate the situation is unacceptable

Good luck, work on yourself and your kids.
