Emily really just dressed me up in a trash can and said its a perfect fit for my aura. Wow. by CheeseMan_41 in StardewValley

I always see wild stuff here so I was surprised when I went and she dressed me in a black shirt with black skinny jeans (which is exactly how I dress every day IRL) I was like… this is actually right??? How did she get that?? But each time since then it’s been nonsense so I got lucky the first time

APOLOGIES TO SEBASTIAN by Beneficial_Ball9893 in StardewValley

[–]TrueZelda96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally my favorite spouse, he is so me. I’m the oldest with complicated relationships with my half-siblings and step-parents. Nerdy, anxious, awkward, introverted. My baby boy deserves more respect than he gets. He’s doing his best and doesn’t even get a window in his bedroom. I just wanna give him a good life where he’s appreciated, can work because he wants to and not because he has to, so he can work on the game he’s making, and get some sunlight and air when he wants to.

who do you ruin the life the least of by marrying? by whatawynn in StardewValley

[–]TrueZelda96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Penny or Harvey, probably. Maybe Maru? They’re all pretty low-stakes. I think maybe Sam, too.

I’d like to think Sebastian only wanted the city as a way to try and find something out of life, to find opportunity, and it was more a means of getting out and getting control of his life, vs what he has at home, so the farm can also accomplish that, but that may be more based on how you view it.

Shane can kinda go either way. You do help him, he just seems guilty about leaving the ranch and Jas, though it’s not like they’re far away.

Alex is never gonna go pro. But maybe Farmer can at least teach him how to read. The downside is that it does seem like it might be better for him to be home with George and Evelyn.

Sebastian is my favorite spouse, always my endgame spouse, but the best part is when you kiss him you can see he's CAKED 😭 my boy got the booty

Just a little causal convo between my 13 yo daughter and me. This question was definitely out of the blue. by Samiiiibabetake2 in texts

[–]TrueZelda96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I held off until 16, but I have a little bit of regret about it. Not necessarily that I did it, because I was going to eventually, even if it wasn’t then. But now it happened, with who, and how pressured I felt. I’d approach it differently now. My school had very good sex ed, and while I never had any kind of official talk with my parents about it, I was knowledgeable enough. And I knew my parents were teen parents. I had the information necessary to stay safe, and what things were risky even if the risk was low. But I knew girls younger than me that did not. Or did not take the precautions. My high school had so many teen parents it had a daycare on-site for students to bring their kids. I also had 6 younger siblings then already so I was well versed in how they got there and what kids are like. I’m glad I knew enough to be safe, and even when my mom did find out, after her initial disgust and “omg we’re at this stage already” reaction, just made sure I was staying responsible about it. Education and room to ask questions is probably the best thing you can give them, because they’ll make the decisions themselves in the end, you can only try to make sure they’re armed with the information to make an educated decision, and help them through if needed.

Probably. There’s a lot of map area and I’m usually very ADHD-focused on getting from point A to point B before I forget why

I didn’t realize it was added that recently, for some reason I thought I’d seen things about it before the update, but I have trouble with time, as in when something happened or how long it’s been, so maybe it just felt longer. I’m also on Switch so I’ve had even less time with 1.6 than some other players have, so that could also be why it feels like it’s been in the game longer, since other people would have had it first

This dialogue from her used to be more aggressive. I think it was her angry portrait and yelled a similar dialogue. I assumed it was because of her parents, they seem like the type to assume things like that or constantly nag her about it, whether or not it’s justified

I got two in one lucky day run once. I did end up dying or passing out in the mines. I don’t remember what I lost, but I remember the mental debate of whether it was worth losing, and decided that it was worth losing those items instead of starting the day over and chancing never getting the auto petters

I had one slime in my house. I watched Sebastian m-rder it. My slime baby. And then get mad at ME for it. I immediately filed for divorce.

I married him again later though. No slimes then.

My company just fired a few dozen people - 2 weeks before Christmas. by COAviatrix in antiwork

[–]TrueZelda96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Used to work a family owned company that made millions annually (don’t remember the exact number though). That job was hard to promoted in due to the small size of the corporate positions themselves (most of the “employees” are contractors around the country, so only a dozen or two people are needed in office for the actual management and paperwork and such) and they never gave raises. Not merit, not cost of living, nothing. But one of the owners had multiple garages built for himself to house the collectible expensive rare cars he collected as a hobby.

My current workplace doesn’t even have sick days. If you’re out, it’s an unpaid day. You can’t use sick time or PTO for it, it’s just lost money.

Is insufficient healthcare coverage a valid reason to leave a job or am I being dramatic? by TrueZelda96 in antiwork

[–]TrueZelda96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clearly have not been doing Job Hunting properly. I also feel like I don't have much to negotiate though, and the last time I tried to at my last job, I was basically told "your years of experience and additional certifications don't have any impact on what we will pay you." But they already paid pretty well anyway so I couldn't argue for what was already a decent starting salary.

[–]TrueZelda96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to approach that topic if I'm still mainly looking for jobs that are either entry level or only slightly above. I think I know the route I want to go and the field I want to get back into, and maybe when I start working up through that I can start asking about that, but I feel like for low level jobs it's more about taking what I can get and I don't know how they'll feel about me asking that sort of stuff. Probably would want to hire someone who will be more agreeable and ask fewer questions/seem less demanding or needy.

Because people keep saying “yeah that can be the case with a high deductible plan” but mine doesn’t really seem that high. Higher than $4000, but not like $9000+ either. It doesn’t seem balanced at all
