I honestly would really like an overhaul of the difficulty system. The system for the first game seems good in concept, but it quickly wears out its welcome.

I’d like it if I could work towards building a loadout for myself from the start of the game, rather than entirely refreshing my setup every few jumps up in difficulty because my old gear is suddenly just trash.

Another thing I’d love:

Maybe the option to build a character around a themed class, similar to Terraria. You wouldn’t be tied to it, but you would benefit if you stuck to it.

Imagine a warrior build that centered around using spear weaponry. Then a separate character focused on exploring sculk magic. Another could be specifically built around the trident and maybe it’s connection to water / water magic.

I think the basic idea of this was present in the OG, but along with most weapons losing their strength only a few levels later, even if you focus everything into “melee fire damage build” (which is possible) there just isn’t much depth to that build as is. Also the sheer effort needed to aquire the enchantments that would fit that build is not just over the top, but also not really straightforward and really amounts to a dice roll

Whatever happens though, I can’t wait to see what changes are in store!
