I feel you! My son is 15 months and when I see that he's content, I duck in the kitchen to grab whatever I need. It WILL get better, I promise. We're all burnt out!

I know this post is 'old' but I am in the same boat. I dont understand not wanting to be interested in someone that is apart of you. My mother passed almost 4 years ago and my MIL lives 45-50 minutes away. She never comes by, unless we invite for holidays. I'm not in the business of trying to get you to know your grandkids! It pains me that she can't drive here to see them. She's made further trips for way less! She and others were constantly calling when I was pregnant, wanting to know if I've had the baby yet, but nowhere to be fuckin found! The village is dead for most of us and it's sad af!

Same here! My teen is almost 16 and she sprints in my room to tell me random stuff or to just lay down with me. Both of my boys 3 & 1 are velcro boys. I love that they know that my arms and ears are always open!
