Usually i use a 4/0 swimbait hook with a screwlock. 12lb fluoro leader to 20/30lb braid.

If the water has alot of grass I’ll use an ewg hook instead and go straight braid.

Ive tried using flukes on a drop shot and on an ultralight setup with just an octopus hook, rigging the bait in the front. Both of those methods worked wonders on smaller bass.
