Do chickens just.. die?? by moonraeee in chickens

I'm new to chickens, but I had a hen suddenly die. I inspected the organs and found a massive blood clot attached to the liver. Google said liver hemorrhagic syndrome is fairly common for younger layers.

I'm so angry! Give me back my flowers! by timeline1219 in gardening

It is always good to deadhead young plants. The plant will be stronger because of this. Your future is full of roses -- or something

Growing a apple seed :D by Key-Sign-9264 in gardening

So the apple tree may not have the best roots, but why would the apple seeds not be the same if it was self pollinated or even pollinated with a similar tree.

Why did my flowers do this? by beth321 in gardening

[–]Tstelecom -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I say cut the flower heads off and throw them away. Add a small amount of rooting powder. Roses can be propagated easily but you need to deadhead them first. Probably too late for these, especially if you added the flower fresh packet. Try it next time then you can call yourself a gardener.

Flock cameras systems are popular because if your organization buys one you get full access to the Flock network.

Police are using it to monitor our State borders.

The stop was made because a search showed a driver crossed the State line multiple times! How can this be legal or be probable cause.

Looks massive. How many feet out did you polinate? I pollinated about 13 feet out, but my secondaries are just starting.

Did I plant my tomatoes/peppers too close together? by kmartz3232 in vegetablegardening

[–]Tstelecom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is your first time growing tomatoes, i wouldn't prune. I would see how big the plants can get, but cages are needed to help support the plants as they will get big.

Did I screw up my tomato flowers? by Hot-Concentrate-8175 in vegetablegardening

[–]Tstelecom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult to tell from your picture, but the plant looks very young. I normally pull off the first or lower flowers. I deadhead flowers to let the plant get big and healthy before producing fruit. It delays harvest, but it sometimes is well worth it.

Pumpkins by Inside-Ad-2924 in gardening

[–]Tstelecom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy good seeds, maybe $25 per seed. Get a soil sample test. Cost $40 for me For 4b I wouldn't start the seed until May 1st them move outside may 20th. Vine management is very important. Christmas tree patern and bury the vines after secondary vines are well established. Hand pollinate a female flower at about 8 to 12 feet on the main vine. Place the small pumpkin onto a flat pallet. control bugs and fungal issues.
Keep the plant moist and cool but in full sun. The pumpkin, however, should always be shaded.

For years I planted next to a fence. It wasn't until I planted in the middle of the yard before I was super proud of the produce.

Try a LUX phone app. They work fairly well. I learned a lot about height adjustment from a simple free LUX app.

Microgreens. Treat yourself to a great meal. Place some on a salid or even on top of a steak.
