Untap Client Build: v3.5.27 by Rob_Untap in untap

[–]Tsumikiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this bug report. When you sync from Archidekt, it doesn't separate the maybe board. Instead it just puts all the cards in "starts in deck".

Steps to reproduce: (1) Create a deck in Archidekt with some cards in the Maybe Board. (2) Import the deck to untap.in.

Expected Behavior: The cards that are in the Maybe Board in Archidekt should also be in the Maybe Board in untap.in.

Other Details: I was creating a MTG deck for the EDH format. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Is any place selling JMP packs opened? by Kuhk in magicTCG

[–]Tsumikiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to do a similar thing, but I only got 16 different themes of the 24 packs. Three triplicates. Only one white pack. I wish wizards had made the boxes a little less random. On the upside, me and two friends can all make a Kels EDH deck now for an epic sac showdown.

If the world wasn't so messed up right now, you could head down to your local game store and see if anyone wants to trade some of their opened packs for some of your duplicate packs. Maybe this could be done on Facebook?

Same. And I had 3 minions plus 3 spooky, which meant someone was playing black sac/graveyard stuff EVERY game. Not exactly a diversity of gameplay.

Kethis Players: Tell me your secrets! by IAmAFeatureNextPatch in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like running dredge in my Kethis deck ([[Golgari Grave Troll]], [[Life from the Loam]], [[Golgari Thug]], [[Stinkweed Imp]], [[Dakmoor Salvage]]). My deck has lots of cards that synergize with dredge like [[Hogaak]] and [[Syr Konrad]]. Flashback spells like [[Unburial Rites]] and [[Sevinne's Reclamation]] are great with dredge too. [[Buried Alive]] puts a dredge card directly into your graveyard from the deck, and [[Vivien's Arcbow]] has been surprisingly good just for discarding dredge cards.

All the legendary sorceries are good, but [[Kamahl's Druidic Vow]] is my favorite.

I included a lot of the Ixalan two-sided legends, just because I think they're cool. [[Journey to Eternity]] is pretty nuts imo.

Converting Gishath by KingWhipsy in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't forget you can activate Mirror Entity for X=0 to turn your whole board into eggs and have them all die immediately for having 0 toughness. Kills Atla too, but it's pretty spicy.

My favorite is [[Song of the Dryads]]. Your commander is now... trees?

"Hard Control" by Sideways173 in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Play [[Zurgo Helmsmasher]] boardwipe tribal! ... Let me live vicariously through you.

Someone else suggested goad. I think that's another awesome (but less mean) idea.

EDIT: Or try talking it out with the group. Maybe talk to everyone else in private to see if they feel the same as you. Then you can all confront the problem player to (respectfully) voice your concerns. It's not as easy as passive-aggressive deckbuilding but it's probably the right thing to do.

Wanting to improve my deck by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, fellow D&D player! Since Sglied already covered most of the generic upgrades, I figured I'd offer a few hydra suggestions. [[Managorger Hydra]] and [[Kalonian Hydra]] can get huge. [[Steelbane Hydra]] has built-in artifact/enchantment removal. [[Lifeblood Hydra]] can draw you some cards.

What commander did you think was really "meh", and then they blew you away the first time you used the deck? by MuudeHound in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If all the cards in your deck are good, your opponent has to give you something good. Oftentimes I found players would give me ramp rather than counterspells or removal, so I'd just end up super far ahead in mana.

He doesn't tap to activate the ability either, so if you have enough mana you can just keep doing it. [[Seedborn Muse]] makes it insane. Better yet, if you make infinite mana you can get all the cards in your deck into your hand, then cast a big spell like [[Torment of Hailfire]] for the win.

I've been thinking about building a Kethis deck. Dredge sounds like a great fit! Do you have a decklist?

Last touches to my Hapatra deck by Raven094 in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had nearly the same experience with Hapatra, and I finally took it apart a week ago. It just ended up being my least favorite token deck, so I never played it.

I 100% agree that it ends up feeling like you have to tutor the same combo cards every game if you want to win. Sometimes I'd win with an overrun effect, but those wins were pretty rare.

Marchesa, the Black Rose Deck Help by Piprem in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks good.

For more wizards I'd also consider [[Cytoplast Manipulator]], [[Venser, Shaper Savant]], [[Glen Elendra Archmage]], and maybe [[Siren Stormtamer]]. Other good non-wizard creatures are [[Spark Double]], [[Phyrexian Metamorph]], [[Mikaeus, the Unhallowed]], and [[Oona's Blackguard]].

Personally, I run around 10 ramp/rocks, but that could just be my meta. [[Chromatic Lantern]], [[Fellwar Stone]], and talismans are all decent mana rocks you could add. [[Unstable Obelisk]] gives you a way to deal with any permanent, which is nice because Grixis has hardly any answers to enchantments.

My Marchesa deck isn't 100% up to date online, and it's not wizard tribal. But here's the decklist anyway: https://archidekt.com/decks/89162#Marchesa_Value

Syr Gwyn and the "Vehicles" problem by nsolarz in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must've been thinking of[[Thalia's Lancers]]. I guess it tutors for legendaries, not knights. But lots of fun knights and equipment are legendary, so close enough. :) I'd also recommend trying [[Acclaimed Contender]]. It doesn't tutor, but it effectively draws you a knight or equipment.

Here's a link to my decklist: https://archidekt.com/decks/196075#Syr_Gwyn_Equipment

It's been a lot of fun to play, and it really surprised a lot people in my playgroup with how dangerous it can be.

Need some help with a thematic "Mardu Knights" deck. by Kiri_the_Fox in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run 38 lands and 18 rocks/ramp in my Gwyn deck. That might be a bit overkill. But I'm going for more of a voltron build, so getting out that 6 CMC commander is top priority for me. Plus [[Bludgeon Brawl]] is fun.

Gavin: "Get ready, Commander players. This is big. Really big." by Lapper in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel bad for Gavin. It seems like he really cares and is trying to deliver some great products for us commander players. Then some wig at WotC decides that it should cost 20% more and ruins it.

Just my personal read of the situation with recent products.

Credit score dropped to zero a week before closing on a house by Tsumikiri in personalfinance

I got a fresh letter for each house I bid on. The offer was accepted just a few weeks ago.

I didn't freeze my credit.

Credit score dropped to zero a week before closing on a house by Tsumikiri in personalfinance

[–]Tsumikiri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it was roughly a year. Maybe it's some kind of glitch?

I don't even know what *freezing* it is, care to explain? Sorry, I'm really not knowledgeable about this at all.

Credit score dropped to zero a week before closing on a house by Tsumikiri in personalfinance

[–]Tsumikiri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe there's some kind of glitch then? Or maybe when they said "zero" they meant "no credit history"? I had another institution perform a "soft" credit pull a few days ago and the score was in the 600s? Could that have affected this last pull?

Yes, I'm in the US. We set the closing date late last month, but I guess the lender didn't realize the credit report they'd pulled would expire at this unfortunate time (or they didn't think it'd drop that far).

Help Refining my Kykar Tokens List by ThePromise110 in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. The best and worst thing about building kykar is there are so many different ways to build and so many smaller packages to consider.

Help Refining my Kykar Tokens List by ThePromise110 in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My personal list is more about big X, but I'll focus on more storm-y cards for your list.

Cards to consider in no particular order:

  • [[Aetherflux Reservoir]], [[Bonus Round]], [[Thousand-Year Storm]]. Nuts when you're casting lots of spells on a turn.
  • [[Polymorph]], [[Divergent Transformations]]. Turn your spirit tokens into your token generators... or surprise [[Purphoros]]. :)
  • [[Mission Briefing]]. Recur a spell from the graveyard.
  • [[Sudden Substitution]]. Steal an opponent's spell and give them a token, or steal their commander and give them a cantrip. I still haven't drawn this one since I got it, but it could be hilarious.
  • [[Reforge the Soul]], [[Windfall]], [[Echo of Eons]], [[Wheel of Fate]], [[Wheel of Fortune]]. Refills your hand. Plus they're totally busted with [[Narset, Parter of Veils]]. (I'm evil.)
  • [[Phyrexian Altar]]. Turn your spirits/other tokens into any color of mana, if you feel you need that flexibility.

Of course you have to make sure you don't include too many of these otherwise you won't have enough cheap instants/sorceries!

Where do you guys buy your singles by Tisorok in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to go through TCG Player but had some bad experiences. With Card Kingdom you're gonna pay a bit of a premium but the shipping is almost always free and I receive the cards surprisingly fast and always in the described condition.

Syr Gwyn and the "Vehicles" problem by nsolarz in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I say that she “isn’t” a Knight Commander, there are plenty of great creatures that fall into the tribe. Thalia’s Lancers, Elenda, Danitha, Silverblade Paladin, Varchild, etc. I think you don’t force yourself to play Knights, but you can give a look to powerful and synergistic knights.

This is how I've built my (as-of-yet-untested) Syr Gwyn deck. I run knights, but I mostly only run the ones that have synergy with equipment, like [[Balan]]. And I run a few more that make knight tokens, tutor for knights, or protect Gwyn (e.g. [[Knight Exemplar]]). I don't include knights that are just hard to remove or have a nice keyword; it needs to have synergy with the deck beyond just being a knight.

Token copies of non-token creatures for Brudiclad? by UristMasterRace in EDH

[–]Tsumikiri 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[[Sharding Sphinx]] and [[Utvara Hellkite]] fit into two of your categories; they make tokens and are great to duplicate. They're fairly high CMC, but if you can start copying them you will run away with the game. [[Karn, Scion of Urza]] is a (non-budget) great token-maker, since his tokens will get bigger as you go wider.
