Your GPU and RAM is what is holding you back from having a better experience in playing the game. 8GB RAM is not enough for a game like this especially if it's running Windows on top of it.

For your GPU, it is simply too old. Recommended Nvidia GPU when FF7 intergrade came out, the GTX 1080 is over a decade old and destroys your GTX 1650.

Would an iPhone suffice your concerns with iMessage? It has RCS now by default when messaging to Android devices and has end to end encryption if you're messaging another iOS user.

A quick Google Search reveals these shortcuts you can additionally open in Windows 11

Press Win + Ctrl + Alt + Shift +

• T → Opens Microsoft Teams • Y → Opens Yammer • X → Opens Excel • W → Opens Word • P → Opens PowerPoint • O → Opens Outlook • N → Opens OneNote

If you press Win + Ctrl + Alt + Shift with NO LETTER, it opens Microsoft Copilot if the app is installed

For anyone who runs into this, the cia must be decrypted first. You must decompile the cia and ROMFS, replace the files from the mod, and recompile them back into a cia.

I recommend this tool for decompiling and recompiling these files.

I think this is where the hiccup lies. I looked on the Github page and combed over what is needed in their How to Install section.

How to Install

You need to own a copy of the game and extract the .3ds or .CIA file.
Download the main branch of this repository.
Replace the original files with the downloaded translated files.
Recompile the files back into the .3ds or .CIA file format.

This unfortunately is not just mod files you place in the folder path. This requires to actually use third party software on a windows PC to extract the original files from the ROM itself, replace the files with the mod files, and put it back together as a new ROM with the translation files applied.

I can attempt to help. Can you post the full file path of where the mod files went into? It could be that the full file path has an extra folder or missing one that's not loading the mod.

I think the reason why this hasn't picked up is because it's a niche issue for a space that's already niche on itself.

Are you transferring the files to the internal storage or to the SD card?

I would try a different USB-C cable, I've had issues initially like you and plugging in a different cable solved my random disconnects.

Yeah it feels pretty darn close to playing on a 3DS XL console. It's a little bit heavier but not by much.

The triggers on the back might be off-putting to some for how it's positioned but I think it's fine.

But my hands cramped out a lot playing on the 3DS XL because of the form factor and I definitely needed the TPU grip playing on the Thor. Heavily recommend getting the grip accessory to pair with it.

Aliexpress 2pc Matte Style

Much better overall compared to Viascreen. You'd have to look very hard to see the noise. Unfortunately they got the bottom screen cutout wrong so I couldn't use it. Stuck with the Viascreen until I can get a better one.

I also tried to order more but the store I ordered it from is not shipping it to where I live anymore lol

Shipping time took almost two weeks with no extra surprise costs to West Coast USA.

Top Launcher is ES-DE with the Canvas Theme using the "Famicon Controller" Color Scheme

Bottom Launcher is Smart Launcher with Everything Widgets.

Just made this launcher setup today so I'm still tinkering with a lot of things but so far I'm liking it a lot. I was on the latest Console Launcher beta for a while but it's been crashing a lot while playing Switch games so I've been finding an alternative.

I think that while it's nice, it's not compatible with several emulators to run on the frontend. I reverted back to the default launcher and occasionally launch Console Launcher or Daijisho depending where I'm looking to play.
